It means nothing. The team isn't losing money. |

Oh, rumors. Well, this one's not destructive, at least. |

Losing money? The way I lose a couple of quarters in the washer, or a fiver in the dryer? The way I lose acouple of bucks when I toss my beer cans instead of returning them? Tom, if you're "losing" money then by all means grow some sack and go out and find us an owner who can better manage the organization, and surrounds himself with Hockey (you know, that game they play with bent sticks, on frozen water) executives, that are more concerned with winning "A Championship". You know - That big, shiny, silver thingy - ya chooch. |

If he really is losing money, and does want out, them I'm sure it'll be REALLY easy for him to find an owner willing to invest in a hockey team that is losing money despite selling out multiple games per season. Just do it Tom! Piece of cake! The Hamilton Sabres... just about the only plausible team name there is should he decide to sell. |

I doubt he is losing any money, considering all the sell outs the past few years and the immense # of new 3rd jersey sales. And if someone he is losing money, then: #1) Take Darcy off that leash and show some balls and sign/trade for a players that will help you move into the post season. OR #2) Stop complaining and spreading rumors that anger/upset the fan base and just sell the freaking team to someone who is dedicated to us winnning. Either way the ends should justify the means. Big ol' Tommy G could really learn something from Machiavelli, because obvioiusly during his time as owner he hasn't learned a thing about hockey |

I dont think we are losing money.. And i dont think the team is for sale.. We have a good attendance but the city of Buffalo really needs one of their teams to get into the playoffs for that untapped revenue. you make alot more money than you lose if you have a really long season. So Winning = Alot of damn money. Remember when the Sabres got the new uni's and were winning like a goddamn madman? We made a lot of money.. (which we didnt spend on the players....Sorry wont mention them) but yeah start winning.. Make money |

rbochan wrote: Winning games would solve everything. I doubt it. The Sabres aren't having major issues selling tickets. The problems they have money-wise are that they have really low ticket prices and the fans think that they are expensive. That and the Buffalo market likely yields a lot less in corporate revenue than most markets. |

The contracts that were already on the books are the reason that Regier was unable to make a major move this offseason. |

Making the playoffs would help. But still... it's bothersome that the franchise has to make the post season to keep them in comfortable standing. |

They are having a hard time selling out Friday's game versus the Isles. The Sabres & Tim Horton's teamed up to give away a bunch of tickets to the game to local youth hockey players. And who knows what suite sales and advertising revenues are like this year..... |
