I have never liked him. He's just a terrible player in general anymore. |

I was excited when we got him, but my opinion of him has been steady going downhill ever since... |

I as well didn't mind him when he first came here but since then he has sucked shit big time. They'd be better off no having a captain right now because almost everyone on the team right is playing like a bunch of pansy ass losers. |

I'd rather have an appointed Capitan than none, just sayin. There is enough veteran leadership in this locker room and it shouldn't matter if you wear a letter in terms of rallying the troops. C's, A's or none, the leaders will lead by example. It just happens that the players who fall into the category of "Leader" as of late don't happen to be wearing a letter of any sort except the ones on their back. |

lulz @ Miro. But yeah, I haven't been happy with him in a long time, and it's just starting to wear on me, to the point that I've actually started looking at Lindy as a problem... |

Team played great when Pominville was captain. Give the C to *gasp* Roy. He's been a man on fire as of late. |

I thought the team played great with Pommer as Capitan as well. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors with these guys? Maybe he should be wearing the C next because of his attitude in the locker room? I dunno. I think you were right with the possibility of Lindy losing the room, NYI. Some guys just seem to be playing uninspired from shift to shift or not in the system while others buy right into it. I think if our boys shit the bed in these next two games, might be time to look behind the bench. Although the effort was there for the first 10 last night, as well as most of the 3rd, shoddy play is the suspect in this case and it's easier to relieve one guy of his duties than 22 or 23. I'm not saying the season is lost yet or that I'm at Buffcon -99 or anything, but if things continue as they are, it might be time for a change. |

I honestly don't want to say it but our better option is Roy. He's been at the top for point production for years and as far as on ice performance goes he's the best we got. I still think Vanek would respond well to getting the C though. As far as Rivet, fuck him. He's washed up and playing on borrowed time. If he wasn't the captain he might very well have been put to pasture already. |

The captain does not need to be the highest point producing player. The captain needs to be a leader. |

I didn't say Roy based on point production; he's been working his ass off, and that's why I said him. I'd be fine with Montador, too. Both are working hard, and not giving quotes about "taking liberties with the team". AFAICT, Pominville was a leader by example too. As was Drury. Rivet's wounded warrior gained him some cred, but it's hindering him now. |

Roy's been working his ass off, but still makes questionable 'diva' plays. He'll still take a shot that got stopped, and look to the sky instead of going after the still in play puck. See it at least 3 times a game or so. I personally don't like to see someone wearing a letter do stuff like that. |

I'd say Roy because I like his response to all the criticism after last year's playoffs. It's the response you want to see from any member of this team for anything. Play your ass off and the results will come. Maybe he's not the greatest leader, I don't really know, but I like the example he's setting. Personally I'm a big fan of just giving the C and A to the hardest working guys on the team. Set a standard that the rest of the players want to live up to. |

I hate when players are so down on themselves that they stop playing all together. You play to the whistle, and if you're getting off on a change, hustle to the damn bench. |
