As per the Sabres' Twitter, Luke Adam is back with the big club.

What reasoning. I wasn't able to see the 2nd and 3rd yesterday to know if anything happened to anyone.

The reasoning is Luke Adam is the top scoring rookie, is tied for second in the AHL overall (with his linemate Mancari) at 13 points, is tied for second in the AHL for goal scoring, and is earning the hell out of an extended tryout.

Who sits for Adam is the real question.

Puck in the mush, you're right. That could be the swap.

Edit: Nothing in the Injury Report of the Sabres' game preview saying Gerbe is out tonight.

Phil, question for ya. I don't know how this works, so maybe you can help me out here.

Is Kassian under contract with the Sabres?
If not, does a contract need to be in place in order for him to be called up from Juniors?
Is so, if the Sabres called him up, would he have to stay with the team the entire season?

Thanks.

No, Kassian is not under contract.
Yes, a contract needs to be in place to call him up.
Final question is moot, but it's my understanding he'd either have to stay up the entire year or be recalled with an 'emergency call-up'

I really dont think its a "spark" thing... I think its a Gerbe got a puck to the grille and didn't return for the game last night and pomminville is still out so we need someone thing....

Bill Hoppe just tweeted that it is in fact to fill in for an injured Gerbe. Which sucks, because Adam SHOULDN'T BE IN THE FUCKING BOTTOM SIX.

Personally, I dont think Ennis Gerbe or Adam should be in the bottom six... its a miss use of their talents... but its how the team is built so how do you change it....

For one, Lindy could shuffle the lines to create some sort of skilled third line. But the problem with that is Gerbe would play RW on the skill third line and he's injured which is why Adam is in the line-up.

how could you do that with the players we have and not double dipping from the top 6? or do you make someone from the top 6 play on a skilled 3rd?

I just don't see the skill out of Patty, Goose, Cody, Mike, Neids, etc... to be able to keep up with the young guys...

I understand it would be easier if gerbe was healthy and adam was up... but in their current state, i think gerbe and ennis and now adam are simply miss used in the bottom six...

Uh you put Ennis Adam Gerbe on the 3rd line. That leaves Vanek Roy Stafford and Hecht Connolly McCormick in place as the top 6. Not that hard to figure out.

But like I said, it's not a possibility cuz Gerbe is out. So unless Adam replaces McCormick on Connolly's line, Adam is in the bottom six.

Should Kassian get signed to a deal, and get called up, the 10 game junior tryout rule kicks in for contract purposes. He could be called up and returned to juniors, but nobody does that.

Even if Kassian gets signed this year, which isn't very likely, he's not the answer this year.

Kassian needs the one year in extra. He should be here next year possibly, if not he will be in the AHL though.

Sucks when you have this much talent bursting at the seems and having to keep them where they are while looking at our team basically. Hopefully Adam gets a nice one tonight.
