There a plenty of discussions on this board right now about who should NOT be on this team, some suggesting there be a massive overhaul..or rebuild. Not unexpected considering the Sabre's play so far this season, or for that matter, over the last 4 years. Last year wasn't as bad as the previous 2, mainly because of Miller playing lights-out, and of course Meyers. I have said for a while to "change the core" if there is to be any real shot at a championship. I still believe that..as do more and more people on these boards. All that being said..... WHO is overpaid and taking up valuable cap space? (feel free to adjust salaries to what you consider fair given performance)I put in BOLD the ones I think are absurd. Butler $585,000 Connolly $4,500,000 Ennis $875,000 Gaustad $2,500,000 Gerbe $850,000 Grier $1,400,000 Hecht $3,500,000 Kaleta $860,000 Lalime $600,000 Leopld $3,000,000 McCormick $500,000 Miller $6,250,000 Montador $1,550,000 Morrisonn $2,075,000 Myers $875,000 Niedermayer $1,150,000 Pominville $5,500,000 Rivet $3,500,000 Roy $4,000,000 Sekera $1,250,000 Stafford $2,300,000 Vanek $6,400,000 (I know, not his fault) Weber $550,000

Connolly, Hecht, Gaustad, and Pominville, and Rivet the last two years probably, but he was pretty solid his first year. |
