Rivet wouldn't comment on whether or not he would remain the Captain of this club. As a side note, I can't believe these journalists have the balls to ask those kinds of questions. In my opinion, that's really pushing boundaries. |

I don't know if I agree PSP. I mean yup it takes huge balls but all of us invest a lot into this team fionancially and emotionally so I think the fans have the right to know the answers to questions like that. I mean at the end of the day he's still a millionaire. |

I like Craig Rivet, even though he hasn't been good, and I fully support his benching. |

Maybe a millionaire, but also still a person. Sometimes we forget that. I see a man who thought he was giving it all he had, and got told by his coach that his best isn't good enough. I see a man who is staring the end of his career straight in the face. He deserves a lot of credit for still coming out and talking to the media even though he's going through this. |

Yeah, that's gotta be a tough thing to hear. |

Make it Myers, it's worked for Pittsburgh and Chicago to have the young guy as the captain. |

I really feel for Rivet. This has to suck. But it's time for a change in Buffalo. A new Captain would be a breath of fresh air, I believe. |

Ok seriously, Roy or Vanek, that's my two nominations then. Well you could always throw in Goose, I say give it to Goose then, we see how he puts his heart on the ice all the time. |

By the way, as is obvious, there really isn't a balls-to-the-walls captain on this roster. Closest thing right now IS Roy, however--and this may sound odd--he's too nice. P.S> I feel bad for Rivet. Tough reality in sports. Wanna read another tough reality, check out the Bucky Gleason piece on Jay Mckee in the news. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/bucky-gleason/article225034.ece |

I've heard all kinds of idiotic shit including he'll have to 'resign' as Captain. As I recall, you are given THE JOB MEANING THAT YOU CAN'T QUIT IT. He wasn't elected. Just goes to show that listening to people can be dumb. |

If he's feeling like he isn't doing an inadequate job being the leader of the team, then why couldn't he hand the C over to another player that he feels is more deserving of it... |
