Ryan Miller was back at practice with the team today and went "full go" apparently. Should seem as if he'll be back between the pipes Wednesday night.

Rivet was absent from practice as well while Gerbe is still recovering from the broken jaw bone.

This was expected, not shocking.

I imagine we'll get an update later on in the day from Ruff.

I noticed that on a twitter feed, and posted it in another topic.

Miller being out for an extended period of time could, ironically, be the best thing for this team in the long run. They're not a legitimate contender even with Miller in the lineup. His absence would really expose the weakest links on this team (when harmless looking mistakes end up in the back of the net), making it more obvious for management as to who needs to be replaced. Apparently Lalime's 0.250 winning percentage in 2+ seasons hasn't gotten the message across. Oh wait, I forgot that it's Darcy and Larry we're talking about. Never mind. Get well soon Ryan...

This scenario was very true in 1999-2000 when we played over half the season without Hasek, who suffered a major groin injury. The team still lacks the skaters to come forward and consistently produce while still riding its goaltender.

That's good about Miller, get well soon Rivet, the flu would sure suck.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.

Hm, I wonder if this is going to be one of those really pesky flus...you know, the kind that sticks around for the majority of a season. A shame really, that our fearless leader will be 'unable' to play because of such a natural 'sickness' which is totally understandable and much different than him being benched because of his horrendous play. :)

Miller is going to miss the game in New Jersey, and is doubtful for the Rangers game. But it sounds like he's close to being 100%

Keep him out as long as it takes for him to fully heal. I'm with Diehardfan and the others who say that maybe having Miller out is the best thing for this team. As much as I want to see Miller back in net, he's not the problem on this team, so I'd rather see them address their problem than have Miller cover those problems up.

I'd love to see him back 100%. Not 95 or 90. Too many chances for him to re-hurt himself. Hopefully with backups in, the team can keep stepping up and winning. I would love to see them actually win a game that Lalime starts. :)
