It's fun rooting for him, he's a gutsy kid and he has the right attitude to be an NHL regular, but there's some fundamental flaws that are ticking like a time bomb, just inviting a blow out.
He's got his confidence level soaring, right now is the perfect time to send him down and let him take his AHL game to greater heights!
This team needs Miller in net, especially now that they have a good thing going. if he comes back healthy this could turn into something special.

Yeah. So forget the fact that once the team has Miller back in net, they're going to *probably* be lackadaisical in their backchecking -again- and try to sit on something like a 2-0 lead -again-.
I can't fucking wait to be the Miss Cleo of this shit.

I can't fucking wait to be the Miss Cleo of this shit. Our backchecking isn't what killed us. It was stupid decisions in our own zone and poor puck movement. I think the Sabres are almost ready to have Miller back between the pipes. This has been a great thing for them, but xPens is right; Enroth has some holes that will torch him in this league pretty soon.

But by all means, if the team is winning with him in net, let him keep playing. If we were getting torched, then yeah, replace him. We're not. We're battling, and he isn't looking god-awful. Granted, we just played the Leafs and Devils, but I think tonight will definitely give us a better feel for Jhonas (any word? I'm making a blind assumption that he's starting).

Sooooo, play him anyways because the Sabres are starting to play well? I disagree. Miller's return should be a boost, not a hinderance. How many times have Miller's big saves triggered a swing in momentum for this team? If we're going to have any shot at the playoffs, they need to learn how to play like that with Miller in net. And you can't do that by benching him so Enroth can play.

I can't fucking wait to be the Miss Cleo of this shit. All i know is that the team has gutted out a couple of wins and everybody in that locker room should be feeling good about themselves for a change, including Enroth. They beat the odds with some third period come from behind wins, on the road, and in desperate times. Regardless of the competition that says a lot, but I don't want them to press their luck. They need as much stability in net as they can get. I'm the type of guy who goes to a gambling casino and wins 100 bucks after just spending a few minutes at the machines, and then leaves...

I understand your points, I really do. They make sense. I just don't trust this team.

Enroth let in 4 goals last night...let's not all get in line to suck him off.

I'm not Mike, calling him the second coming or anything. Don't we all piss and moan when Lindy changes things that seem to be working, just to put the higher paid guy back in? The team is finding a way to WIN, something they don't do with an all-star goalie in net. I don't believe for one second this team's core work ethic or mantra has changed; I just don't think it's had enough time to cement itself.

egh...if the choice is between Enroth and Lalime, I'd ride Enroth, but not on a back-to-back.
I say Lalime tonight and Miller going forward is the most logical thing to do.

I say Lalime tonight and Miller going forward is the most logical thing to do. I don't trust Lalime at all; especially after having just been injured. Miller going forward, yeah, but I think Enroth needs to stay here as the backup.

NYIntensity wrote: What do you guys think? He's getting -if nothing else- GREAT NHL experience right now. I'm saying that even when Miller is healthy, if the team is playing well in front of Jhonas, keep him up, and keep him in net. He looked better than he did last game, and the team looked better than they did last game. I thought you were joking at first because BOTH goalies were HORRIBLE last night. Both let in 4 from 2 offensively-challeneged teams, but Hedberg did stop 38 of 42, while Enroth only stopped 28 of 32. The Toronto game wasn't much better as far as quality performance. Enroth has definitely made some great saves, but all in all, he's barely managed to hold things together against what are clearly 2 of THE worst teams in the league. Enroth instead of Lalime? Toss a coin. The idea of starting him over a healthy Miller UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, is absurd.

I'm not focusing so much on ZOMG ENROTH IS TEH SHIZNIT so much as I'm saying the team is playing better. In front of him.

In my opinion, especially in the goaltending department, you run with your best, and that's Miller.
I won't dispute that the team looks a little better right now, and Enroth is the one playing, but I don't think you sit the reigning Vezina trophy winner based on that alone. If Miller is average in that game last night, they probably win it without going to a SO. (Although the fact that they went there is GREAT because of the humor got Kovalsuck gave the hockey world. )

Enroth has played 4 games: Two were against a good team (Boston x2) and he was destroyed. Two were against crappy teams (Leafs, Devils) and they barely survived. I really don't get the Enroth enthusiasm after this. It's eeasy for the team to look like they're playing better in front of him---when they're playing horrible teams. Toronto is in a severe nose-dive and the Devils have even more problems than the Sabres at the moment. As I said, I'm not even sure he should be in over Lalime, no less Miller.
