Do we start to use the old label for this years squad?

"The heart attack kids"

Not a great game by any stretch of the imagination.
I am still greatly concerned about this team not putting in a full 60 minutes, and where in the hell is Connolly?
Never mind those questions for now, lets revel in the victory.

Vanek, Roy and Ennis handled the puck down low with speed. It worked for some stretches, especially half way through the 1st period and into the second period.
McCormick, Nieds and Grier were effective tonight, very good for Buffalo this game.
Kaleta? Anyone know what happened to him?

My game puck this night goes to Buffalo's defense.
Outside of the boneheaded retaliation penalty Myers took they did a really good job of forcing Vancouver to perimeter shoot.

Myers, thank you, that is all.
Back to Vanek, Roy and Ennis. I like this line, but I still want a big body with Vanek and Roy (Dustin Penner please, DARCY!!!! YOU LISTENING!!!!) but I have to be honest and say the current guys are fast, even Vanek looks faster out there in the last dozen games or so.

They continue to prove me wrong, they are now 2 - 0 and I called it 0 - 5 for that 5 game stretch.

I am merely waiting for the trigger to be pulled on the Connolly trade, there is no reason for him to be here. Poor Hecht (thanks for standing up for Pommers tonight) and Pommers need a new Center.

Well I thought it was a great game, and not just only because of the win.

They're starting to remind me of that post lockout team that started like shit, but then started finding ways to rack up points even when the probably didn't deserve them.

I don't think they're that good now, but that's what they're starting to remind me of.

BRILLIANT read by Myers, I heard a lot of talk about what a huge mistake the Nucks blue liner made, but the fact of the matter is that you don't expect some 6'8" guy to have the wheels/confidence to put himself in that passing lane THAT fast. Myers read the play and he created that possibility for that scoring chance and then buried it!

What an exciting stretch of games, eh?!? LOL

I don't think I would play Stafford again, not hatin'...just sayin'.

Roy....dude I get that you're full of pride, but the next time you want to throw a hissy fit because somebody bumped you after the whistle just remember that you will get thrown around like a little bitch. That might fire YOU up, but it's bad for team morale and it just looks too funny. You're not Crosby (which is a round about compliment), swallow your pride, bide your time, and get revenge on the score board.

Ya they are. They look alot like that team on the ice. But the defense is what boggles my mind Squanto.
I honestly cannot remember when our defensemen have stepped in offensively so much.

Just give us a couple of tweaks with the roster (as you have been pointing out all season, I know, I know, but hey, you can't blame a guy for passion, only for impatience  ). I really want Connolly out and bring in a guy worth something in replace.

The D looks really good for us offensively this season.

I'm pretty sure that our D is now leading the league in goals. It's a good sign.

Also, I just saw the replay of the goal. Ennis jumped so high he was eye level with Myers. That's insanity.

The powerplay still needs work, but at times looked pretty damn good tonight.

Roy now on pace for 91 Points

The team has really stepped up their play, they did slow down a bit in the third but once it was tied they went all out once again. Honestly, that OT was by far the best I had ever seen, and the entire game was a good game.

Defense played great and Miller made some fantastic saves for us, and we got lucky a few shots were off target. But we need to study how their PP worked tonight and emulate it, they have an amazing PP and ours sucks.

Love what I am seeing out of them right now... BUT what do you do with Gerbe and Staff when they are healthy... Id say they sit until the team starts to show differently, but right now in this stretch, Stafford and Gerbe need to sit when healthy... and I hope Patty isnt hurt to bad...

I agree also. Sit them unless needed.

Anybody else think that adding Ellis to the mix has somehow propelled this team in some strange way?
