There is really only one thing to say tonight............
Where are the snipers on the Buffalo Sabres?

Just another evening of failing to finish.
Sad really, it is very, very sad.

Outside of Luke Adam's gaffe, the team played ok.
But once again, no standouts for "clutch" performers.

I thought Enroth just solidified himself at the very least as the number 1 backup to Miller.
And if Miller's out longterm, Lalime should not be the starter.

I cannot believe this team continues to squander points in home games. It is becoming more than just 1 game here or there, it is becoming a habit.

Not good, not good at all.

im very impressed by enroth and the sabres defense

if adam did not fuck up that ONE time, this woulda been an overtime game, with a possible win in the shootout

I thought Collin Stuart played very well. I was impressed. And Pominville continues to miss the net...

Sorry guys, it's my fault we lost. If the Pens were still my #1 team the "Blooming Flower" would have crapped in two softies. Naturally, he plays a solid game tonight, that fucking wilting ass clown. Oh and if that nickname wasn't weak enough, they call Tyler Kennedy the "Little Tiger". WTF?

Weak ass turnover and puck protection lead to the only goal of the game. You have GOT to chip it out. I actually really liked the aggressive game from Myers, he was taking off for the o-zone a lot, and that's the risk that the Sabres need to take if they are going to get any kind of scoring depth.

They played a good game against a good team, and with a lot of injuries too. Enroth is fun too root for, he played very well.

I watched the Penguins pre-game show and they showed the replay of Vanek getting hit hard on that shift when he got up and then scored. But they never showed the goal, not even a mention of it. Which would be fine, but they showed the hit FIVE TIMES. And Jesus butt wiping Christ they would not STFU about Lydman and Tallywacker. It's like they are Lidstrom and Keith for shits sake. They have been replaced, the team have moved on. The Sabres gave up the same amount of shots and scoring chances last season too, what's the big deal?

Ugh.

Oh, and by the way, for all of those that didn't like the "Pick up O'Sullivan off of waivers" idea.
He scored in his first game tonight as a wild.
Now I wonder, what could have 1 goal of done for the Sabres tonight.......................

Come on man, you know damn well that a player who's effective (if you even want to call O'Sullivan's one and only goal so far this season "effective") on one team doesn't mean that they will be effective on another. You know who has 7 goals so far this season? Raffi Torres.

Very true indeed fly, but what I was getting at is they have O'Sullivan up on line 2 in Minny, been flicking between both games and he looks out to prove something.
What? You don't think that kind of "finnishing" attitude wouldn't have helped us this one game? And he would have come dirt cheap with a 2 way contract.

Can we please just trade Connolly?

Didn't I see him throwing banana peels infront of the Buffalo forwards from the press box tonight? :shifty:

Only thing I see that was a problem were the HUGE rebounds. Many of them just not his fault though. But could work on it.

Watching Enroth I feel like when he deflects the puck back into a corner, it's just missing the net, but that's probably simply a product of the viewing angle. Still frightening though.

I'd like to amend my OP.

I would like to thank Nathan Gerbe (aka the Guinea Pig [upgraded from Gerbel]) for his valiant effort tonight.
It really is to bad he plays with Goose a majority of the time. The kid put in the effort tonight, he was all over the place, and even layed a few hits.

Kudos to Gerbe.

Thank God because I'm sure he would have tried to skate thru all the Penguins lined up at the blueline instead of dumping it past them and going to get it. Getting something for him is better than losing him for nothing. To me he had that one good playoff run until Fisher blasted him and he hasn't been the same since.

yes, having connolly in the lineup certainly would have been a low point in an otherwise spectacular shut out loss.

Connolly would have coughed up at least one tonight so losing 1-0 is better than losing 2-0. Face it Connolly sucks and he's an overpayed bum. He shouldn't have been re-signed when they did and should have been moved when his value was at it's highest.
