Under new ownership, it's difficult to envision a scenario where Lindy will remain the coach. Barring a totally unexpected run into the playoffs, he and Darcy will almost certainly both be gone. An underachieving team with a strong goaltender that misses the playoffs 3 out of 4 years can't be kept intact, and the coach and GM deserve their share of the blame for the mediocrity that we've been watching for the better part of the last 4 seasons. The team is clearly on the decline and problems run much deeper than just needing a couple of players to return to contender status. Thanks for a great 13+ season ride. He is a good coach and may very well win a cup somdeday, just not in Buffalo. |

How about we save the 'Goodbye Lindy' threads until, you know, Lindy is actually gone. However unlikely it is that he remains the coach after this season, he's still the coach. |
