http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/bucky-gleason/article299556.ece More good work from the most hated hockey writer in Buffalo regarding the Pegula Era. Also, as Alex said to me today in a chat, lol Jason Botterill. |

The stuff that's factual was great stuff. Bucky clearly has a good source, although he somewhat exposed it in that article. Didn't care for the who's who of potential hired for jobs we don't even know are open. |

I like the part where he says Terry knows quinn is detriment.... bbbwwwaahahahahahahahahah... GTFO QUINN!!! Go rest, take your $10+ million and don't come back!!! Also interesting to see the success teams have had hiring people from our old scouting dept... wonder if they will reinstate some scouts.... |

Didn't care for the who's who of potential hired for jobs we don't even know are open. But it was interesting to hear the Dudley tie to Lewiston... I didn't know that... I doubt Atlanta lets him go... seems to be a pretty sharp guy and i don't think its the first team he has turned around... can't remember the other.... but again its premature to assume what jobs are going to be open... and its interesting to see how much money can be freed up fairly easily... seems to give the team some flexibility ... the question is, will the free agent pool be that deep? what prospects can be plugged in? etc... its great to see the room that can be made, but silly to either over pay for talent and end up like NJ or simply change for the sake of change... Im just so happy to have a hockey fan coming in!!! A Sabres fan!!! |

In light of this latest article, I'm going to make my Pegula billionaire FA wish list for this summer... On offense there are too many holes to fill in one off-season, and maybe only Brad Richards as a sure-fire talent, but Matt Moulson could offer secondary scoring for a decent price. On defense we need a POWER PLAY QB!! Yes it's true and I don't want to hear anyone say Tyler Myers again. Ruff has gone through Roy, Connolly, and now Pominville on the blue line so it's obvious that a PP d-man could help. Christian Ehrhoff and Andy Greene would help the most, but solid d-men like Jonathan Ericsson, Kevin Bieksa, and James Wisniewski (yeah I know people hate him) would bring a better game and more physicality. Enroth should be a fine back-up goalie, so my 2011 fantasy Pegula billionaire roster band-aid FA list is... C - Brad Richards L - Matt Moulson D - Christian Ehrhoff D - Andy Greene D - James Wisniewski D - Kevin Bieksa D - Jonathan Ericsson Add two or three of these players and resign Stafford, McCormick, Montador, and Weber for a roster like... Vanek-Roy-Stafford Ennis-Richards-Pominville Hecht-Adam-Kassian McCormick-Gaustad-Kaleta Gerbe- Ehrhoff/Greene-Myers Leopold-Montador Morrisonn-Wisnieski Weber Miller-Enroth |

How about we keep the thread on the topic of Pegula and the sale, and put magical free agent shopping lists in the Roster Ideas forum. |

Why isn't Myers a PP QB for? This is his second year and by the looks of it, he is our best option and can only get better. But nice read for sure. |

It's hard to take Bucky seriously when he starts out saying that Penn State won their bowl game... |

I'm so fucking psyched. It's gonna be a slow turnaround as Pegula goes over the team with a fine-toothed comb, but I'm anticipating the announcement so hard. |

Quote: Sabres owner Tom Golisano reportedly will announce, after counting his profits from the 2011 World Junior Championships, that he's selling the team. OK, so you've known that for weeks. The accuracy of the WGRZ-TV report could not be confirmed, but it's safe to assume a pigeon from Golisano's political circles has been chirping. Hmm.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Pigeon I think Bucky has revealed who has been leaking the info. |
