we are now halfway through the season, and the sabres need some help to make the top 8. so boys, and girls, its time to start hoping, watching, and wishing. wild beat the bruins 3-1 canadiens beat the pens 2-1 in OT |

Just to put things in perspective, we are currently: THREE points behind Carolina for NINTH place. Carolina has a game in hand. EIGHT points behind Montreal for EIGHTH place. We have a game in hand on Montreal. NINE points behind Boston for the DIVISION lead. Boston has a game in hand. EDIT: Removed unnecessary information. |

Since like '06 or so the Pen's would be between 38 or 42 points right now and would still make the playoffs, hell even finish in a 3rd or 4th seed. So it is doable. Yes, I know the Pen's are a much better team, but things can still turn around for the Sabres. Who knows. Time will tell. |

I don't have high hopes with our top scorer out for the season. Miller would need to turn into his 09-10 self really soon to make it happen. The only thing that gives me hope is that we are in the weakest division this season. |

Although I suppose overtaking Atlanta is more likely due to the games in hand. |

there are a few games of interest of tonight: hurricanes-42 points @ panthers-38 points go panthers, and it MUST be in regulation. maple leafs-34 points @ thrashers-50 points go leafs go! senators-37 points @ blackhawks-45 points no brainer here. go hawks rangers-49 points @ stars-52 points go stars. |

Panthers coughed up their 2 goal lead, losing 3-2 with under ten to go in the game. Leafs are winning NINE to ONE in the third period. What the what?! Hawks losing 1-0. Rangers and Stars tied at 1. |
