First this year, 100th overall...I had so many favorite moments, I forgot that one.

Awesome game we can all be proud of. This team is maturing nicely!!

My favorite was Myers going down to block a shot in front of Miller when the Islander player was 10 feet from the net.. Ive seen a player do that in that situation and where the player shot it, I think Myers saved a goal..

What ETC said. Kid is the real deal. The Tavares family must be very proud of their bloodline's sporting success.

That pisses me off when he played in the playoffs with Knights in the last round he was "hurt", ahh who cares. Did Rob Schremp look good or not?

yeah, little Tavares really is scary when he's inside the blue line like the scouts said.

Man I have to say I was happy (in a sick way) that our veteran defense looked sloppy and soft (Tallindar Ludes) ....and a kid looked like a fucking pro.

the second period raised a huge red flag to me. yes, the team played well enough to get a win, but that was a bad period. and against the isles. your excited, and i am too, but you might want to put the parade plans on hold for a while. lets see what happens in 15 - 20 games.

Chilax, no team dominates every period of every game. I agree that this shows we can't just go on auto-pilot and expect to control the action, but we will have those kinds of periods now and then. We came on strong in the 3rd to close the deal, so let's keep it in perspective.

Um.

If you aren't so quick to judge us, then why are you so quick to judge the Isles?

Personally, I think they're the best team we've played thus far.

Their record may not indicate it, but they were faster than Montreal, Phoenix, Nashville, and Detroit.

The point is we got the win, in convincing fashion, despite playing a team with good offensive fire power that was hungry for their first win.

Exactly. I took tonight's game very positively, seeing as in the past the Sabres would find a way to choke the third period away, but tonight they stifled the building momentum the Islanders' had and put the game away.
