In the past, Thomas always emphasized of how much he likes the city of Buffalo and playing for The Sabres. Here's another excerpt from an article about him from http://www.laola1.at, an Austrian sports page, that shows TV's Buffa-Love... ;)

It's a great city to raise your kids and there's hardly any other city in the US that is as excited about hockey than Buffalo."

Buffalo is a nice place to live. Let us hope it is a nice place to work as a professional hockey player for the local NHL team.

I think he would... I bet the C could honestly be the kick in the ass he needs, and would make him want to play to his abilities every night.

I wouldn't mind Vanek being the Captain at all. We all know he is very hard on himself but he is Buffalo's best pure scorer since Mogilny.

Saying that someone is the best since such-and-such is not putting someone on another person's level. It's simply saying that so-and-so is the best since this-or-that.

Example: Chris Drury's 30 goal season in 2005-06 was the best output of goals since Miro Satan's 40 in 97-98.

That's not putting him on the same level, that's just stating a fact.
