Late to the party on this, but I read all kinds of people talking about how Boyes and Connolly would have this chemistry because they played together in the O. I needed to take a break today, so I looked. Connolly 1998-99 Erie Otters OHL GP:46 Boyes 1998-99 Erie Otters OHL GP:5 They at best played 5 games together 12 years ago. Think it's safe to say that the angle was overblown. |

I want Vanek and Boyes on the same line, but i'm a patient man. Ruff is a player's coach. I trust him to do what's in the best interest of the team and his players. And he's not one of those set in his ways kind of predictable coaches, he's made good changes despite wins and smart keeps despite losses. From where I'm sitting this is what the team should become by playoff time: Vanek-Boyes-Pominville Ennis-Hecht-Stafford Kaleta-Gausted-Gerbe Connolly-McCormick-Grier Neidermeyer-Ellis Weber-Myers Leopold-Montador Sekera-Butler Morrissonn Miller Enroth EDIT WTH squanto too busy doing drugs to correct your original post? Now I got Chaphil complaining because I don't check up on you. You know what, just stick to moderating, okay?! let the gifted posters like me handle new thread topics.

His results certainly have, but I recall a rather nice scoring chance vs. the Penguins that he helped create for himself. Flower was better that time. With Vanek and Hecht back I'm sure he'll have even more chances tonight. |
