NEW YORK -- Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, Anaheim Ducks right-winger Corey Perry and New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist have been named the NHL's three stars for the week ending March 27.

Miller posted a 3-0-0 record, including two shutouts, a 0.67 goals-against average and .976 save percentage. He stopped 83-of-85 shots as the Sabres defeated Montreal 2-0, Florida 4-2 and New Jersey 1-0.

The 30-year-old from East Lansing, Mich., has won 220 career games with the Sabres, 14 shy of Dominik Hasek's franchise record.

Perry won second star honours after scoring a league-leading five goals for the week as the Ducks won two of three games.

Lundqvist was chosen the third star after posting a 2-0-1 record, 0.32 GAA, .987 save percentage and two shutouts.

Keep on keepin' on, Ryan. He's a great goalie and I'll never back down when shortsighted idiots try to diminish how great he really is.

This. Your crush on the man really showed through with that..... It also diminishes the fact that you are a knowledgeable hockey fan which we all know you are. It appears that it doesn't matter how he's played during the whole season as long as he played extremely well in a few games. I'm not trying to down play those incredible numbers but the team as a whole has also stepped their game immensely (both offensively and defensively) during that time.

Oh, BTW I do think he is a great goalie but this is not a good season for him. I am expecting to see him put up more of these kind of numbers as the playoffs looms.

If Miller can win a couple Vezinas, he will really overshadow Hasek.

Does 'shortsighted idiots' count? I'm not sure i'm seeing the super insult either, maybe it was edited.

Nice job Miller! You've had (some of us) scratching our heads at times this year wondering what was wrong with you, but you've also had incredible runs like this. Huzzah! I love our goalie!

Good for him. I'm in the middle of the discussion when it comes to Miller this year.

I'm a huge fan of his and I do think he can be the best goalie in the world, especially when he has a good defense in front of him (not us) but I do understand when people say he has struggled this season.

Either way, awesome to see how shutdown he's been over the past few games.

Yeah, thats what it's about. There is a small minority on this board that have been somewhat critical of Miller's performance this season and have been ostracized for it.

I think it's fair, though. As much as I love Miller (favorite player on current roster), he has been questionable at points and it's fair to question your players on certain plays, even your stars.

I think it's disturbing when someone says "Oh what a terrible pass" and then someone else will post an nhl.com stat of assists. Had nothing to do with the current play...

People can be too critical, but from what i've seen of the comments of Miller, it's fair.

Okay so let me ask this question: What if Miller continues his hot streak and leads us into the Playoffs and continues us on deep into the playoffs, is that still considered a subpar season?

Remember that the next time someone is critical of Vanek and you get your panties wadded up.

Goes both ways.

Probably because Miller went 3-0 and Lundy went 2-1. Not totally fair, because Lundy only let in 1 goal in that loss, but that's probably what they were thinking.
