Just looking at the numbers, and here are some pretty incredible individual stats that I noticed.

Myers is a +1. This is amazing, because this number was REALLY low about a month into the season. Off the top of my head wasn't he at one point in the season a -18?!? I never thought this stat would ever recover from that start he had, but it just goes to show the great never give up attitude that he and the team have.

Stafford with 50 points and 30 goals in only 59 games. That projects out to be 42 goals and 70 points over an 82 game season. He's 1 of only 22 players to score 30 so far this season. Potential = Realized.

Gerbe has 29 points in 61 games with about 13 minutes of average icetime. That's made even more amazing by the fact that he played about a 10 game stretch on the top two lines, and could not score!! So, pretty much 29 points in 51 games on the 3rd line! Incredible.

Leopold put up the best offensive numbers of his career and I don't think his shot from the point has ever been better. New stick model perhaps?

Of all the players in the league that have won 600 or more face-offs, only Malhotra is better than Gaustads 60%. I think we take him for granted, because 11 goals and 28 points is pretty kick ass as well, to say nothing of his great all around play.

Ennis, despite cooling off a little is tied for 3rd among rookies with 48 points and is tied for 2nd with 29 assists. Strong rookie campaign, and it sure would be nice to see him post 20 goals.

Montador is one point away from setting a new career high, and this has arguably been the best season of his career so far.

Pomminville was pretty much non-existent on the ice for his first 15 games back from an early season injury, but has since been one of the teams best and most consistent players, salvaging another solid 20 goal season.

And last but not least Enroth, pretty impressive start to his career with a 7-2-2 record and a very good GAA and sv%.

Here's a fun one: since Pegula Day (2/22), the Sabres have the most points in the NHL

They talked about that on The Reporters last weekend

http://watch.tsn.ca/the-reporters/clip439843#clip439843

It starts around the 2 minute mark

That's not surprising, he was a big shot in the arm for the team. And, the team has been one of if not the best team since X-mas and all without Roy and a host of other injuries. It really hasn't been easy, the Rangers, Canes, Devils, Leafs, and yeah even the Habs and Thrashers played their hearts out this season. They may call it "7th" or "8th" but I'm remembering it as a lot more than that.

After 1-15-11's game Myers was -15.

Stafford has a lot of really shitty looking goals. I think he's come into this season in better shape, and with a better attitude, but I don't know that I trust this current pace of his.

Jesus Christ so he picked up +16 in 10 weeks. Awesome.

And CV you know the old saying, "They don't ask how, only how many." To those that say he's been more lucky than good, I would argue that he has busted his hump many a night and did not get the bounces his way. It all balances out, and he deserves to be a 30 goal scorer this year. And besides that, how about the big hit he put on Skinner last night? He's played great this season, fast and physical and really very talented. Good defense, and some awesome heroics too. Gotta give it up.

I like the one naysayer on the panel stating that Pegula has had a "placebo" effect on the organization. Setting aside this guys improper use of the term "placebo".....

Then in the next segment another panelist states that getting Thomas Kaberle off the Toronto roster was the best thing to happen because he got complacent with loosing.

So changing 1 player is a concrete move to effect positive change, but changing who writes your check is some sort of aberration?

Yeah, no Toronto-bias there....

I still believe that was a horrible trade for Boston.

Most impressive stat?

Dead last in the conference in November, and finishing no worse than 7th at the end.

How was it horrible? They literally gave up nothing for a proven pmd. And one of the better pmd's to boot. For an underwhelming former first round prospect, a late first in a weak draft year and a conditional second. TBH its a pretty even trade imo.

I guess "horrible"was a too strong a word, but I just don't like Kaberle. I've never been impressed with him...

Yeah I can see that. Pretty underwhelming so far in Bos.

Here's one for you all to digest;

The funny thing is even after our brutal first half, we finished the season with 4 less points than last year.......
