Chris Pronger WILL OR WILL NOT play in game 1, and potentially, not at all in the first round, as per Daniel Briere on WGR this morning. DISCUSS! Danny receded his comments on WGR this morning to the Philly media after getting a tongue lashing from his coach and general manager. |

I heard him say this as well and I don't believe a word he says. If by chance he is telling the truth, then he's in hot water with management. |

Indeed because, per Peter Laviolette, the Philadelphia Flyers' official injury disclosure policy is that only the GM makes statements regarding injuries. Mind games, yo. Anything to gain an edge. Briere is full of shit. |

He hesitated, and then said no. That makes me think he wasn't sure how to react to the question, and due to his level of unpreparedness, he said no... then tried to cover it up by saying it was only game one, and that he didn't know when he'd be back after that. It's my understanding that Pronger hasn't been practicing. You can't prepare for the Stanley Cup Playoffs with two days of contact practice after being out of it for a couple of weeks. |

There's a good chance he won't play. There's also a good chance he will. It's the playoffs. Don't believe anything anybody says. (Especially players talking about other player's injury status.) |

So you honestly believe that a coach and GM are going to dodge injury questions about their best defenseman, but Briere is going to freely give that information up? |

It'll be big if he doesn't play but fuck him, bring it on. Plus, he hasn't been the force he usually is. He was on my fantasy team and his numbers weren't what they have been in years past (I'm taking the injuries into consideration). |

That does not effect his level of conditioning and preparedness coming off an injury. |

I remember reading somewhere that he only needs a couple of days of preparation to be playoff-ready. It was an article about him before the end of the regular season. |

His conditioning is fine. The only thing he'll need is hand strength and that won't take too long in practice. |

Got it. Thought he had been kept off the ice altogether for some reason. |

Maybe. Lets see if he plays game one. Very possible Danny received a tongue lashing from his coach and GM. |

I'll just leave this here. Since it still remains completely true. Squanto wrote: It's the playoffs. Don't believe anything anybody says. (Especially players talking about other player's injury status.)
