Per Bill Hoppe, MAG is in for Canada.

Per the man himself, Vanek is in for Austria.

Sekera is in for Slovakia (supposedly). Miller will not report for USA.

Is there a double standard or why is Sekera allowed to play and Vanek isn't? Sekera couldn't play most of the series due to injury.

Vanek might be injured or he might want time off.


Not to be a dick but this tournament is a complete joke and a waste of time, hell look at Canada they could barely beat France in an exhibition game.

Toothpick, I don't understand the double standard myself. Vanek accepts but then says he'll sit at home for his injury. But Sekera is allowed to play (supposedly) despite needing injections? I dunno. Maybe Sekera isn't playing and it's just hearsay.

The only reason I can think of is because it's in Sekera's home country.
We will see. Austria is playing Slovakia next week.

Was a rough game. I didn't catch the live airing but a taped one later on Versus. They were skating circles around us.
