It boggles my mind that this guy has changed the entire face and attitude of our franchise in a mere 4 months. I feel like this is a dream--its surreal!

He talked about Hockey Heaven--well Terry Pegula is God in that scenario and Darcy Reiger is seated at his right hand.

I think it started long before ownership transferred. I'm sure the rumors alone were enough to spark some life. :)

Still is really nice to actually not bury my head in shame after a disappointing offseason. :D

What we are looking at...

Before we'd be content and expect a signing like Steve Montador (which the Blackhawks just did) and the Sabres just traded for Ehrhoff's rights and then signed him a signing which a team like Chicago has done.

Its a topsy-turvey world right now.

Yeah, if he keeps this shit up, he's going to be a Buffalo sports legend in a matter of years.

Still prefer "City of Hockey" over "Hockey Heaven". Rather get the Hockey Heaven name after a few Stanley Cups.

I'm happy as hell with Pegula taking over as owner and wanting Buffalo to be Hockey Heaven I just don't want them going out and overspending when we have some of our own players to re-sign in a year or two.

Yep...I did not expect this...I just didn't want to believe it...but here we are...spoiled rotten!

Basically, Mr. Pegula is a Super Hero waiting to happen. Once they win the Cup, he will LITERALLY be a Super Hero. Like Batman. Except, instead of a "ward" he will has a smoking hot wife!

Ditto. Yankees fan since birth.

But this is better. WAY better. There are expectations that the Yankees will do whatever it takes to win the WS. When they win, I'm happy... When the Sabres win... it will be the best ever. The most special sports memory I will ever have.

I sold 17 years staying true to a mediocre team between 1979 and 1996. I don't feel guilty one bit for enjoying the championships since then.

Obama has one. So Pegula is too qualified to get one of those worthless peace prizes then.

At some point, this honeymoon period has to stop.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, and don't get me wrong. I've loved every second of this off-season.

However, I really hope this doesn't end up like the Tampa Bay situation where we get a new awesome ownership, and then all of a sudden we try to solve our problems with bad UFA signings.

I'm not saying our signings were bad. I think I just want Terry to step back... maybe just a little bit.

i feel the same way. im happy with pegula, but hes clearly entering mark cuban territory. which is fine, cuban wants to win. but hes willing to piss off people in the process.

but nobody treats his athletes like cuban either. keeps his players EXTREMELY happy.

Um... We traded for two defensemen, signed one of them, then picked up a winger. Our "problems" were solved by trades and signings, like they should be.
