@RealKyper: #Sabres news. @maydayhockey says look for Cody Mccormick to sign a new 3 year deal worth 3.6M

glad to have Cody back, but isn't it a bit of an overpayment for him ? 1.2 million per year, i wouldnt have gone over 1..

It does seem a little overpaid, but in terms of a player with his marriage of grit and skill (probably close to 10 goals), it's not that bad. I'd rather overpay by a couple hundred thousand for a player like him than overpay by several million for a skilled forward *cough* Pominville *cough*. And it's also preferable to skimping in this department and getting someone ineffective like Andrew Peters.

I'm good with ths signing. Been a big fan of his for a long time and the game he brings is a good mesh for the Sabres. Welcome back, Cody!

He's tough and has tons of heart. We need it and it's a good signing.

Indeed, I find him a good middle ground between those two examples.

Man, pommers contract still chaffs my ass.

Wow, good for him

Remember when we signed him to be a depth-player in Portland?

Awesome, I really like Cody...he's a good fighter but he also has some skill too. Plus I like how crazy he looks.

I have no problem with Darcy perhaps overpaying a few hundred K for a guy who's effort I never question.

Definitely. The guy has taken a hundred punches or more sticking up for the team. I estimated him lower, but don't care at all that he got that deal...good for him and I can't wait to see him for three more years.

If he wasn't a good fighter, no way would he be over $1 million

He wins the, "Unsung hero" award and receives a big payday all in one year. Major props for Cody!

I think this was a great signing. He plays hard and is more than deserving of this pay raise.

McCormick, Weber, Regher, Gaustad, Kaleta and I really hope Kassian at some point.

Finally, Kaleta has more competition for the "Caruba Collision!"
