What do you guys think? I've been dreaming of seeing Ennis play with Leino. Since Leino had such chemistry with Briere and Hartnell do you think these 3 on our team could find the same chemistry? I would say that Ennis is a younger Danny and Boyes is a little bit different of a player than Boyes but ultimately fill that power forwards role.

It'll be quite different because Leino is playing center and Boyes is no power forward in my book.

I would try Ennis-Leino-Pomminville and Vanek-Roy-Stafford as top lines.
That would leave Gerbe-Hecht-Boyes as a third line that should be decent.

I'm thinking...

Ennis-Roy-Stafford
Vanek-Leino-Boyes

If it really is the case that Roy and Vanek are better off on separate lines, I'd rather see it like this. Pominville is a better two-way forward than Boyes and Stafford so he fits better in a checking line role (a checking line with Hecht and Gerbe that should be scoring also). But with how Ruff juggles we'll see everything under the sun. I really like Ruff, but that is the one thing that drives me crazy. I see solid, consistent scoring lines all around the NHL, but not in Buffalo since the pinball machine days of 06-07.

Not a bad idea. But I figured Lindy will try and force Roy Vanek Stafford for the start of next season.

What about Ennis-Leino-Vanek, Vanek did play some RW last year. And didn't Pomms and Staff play on a line for a bit last year? So what about Stafford-Roy-Pomms? For the bottom 6 does anyone else wanna see Gerbe Goose and Kaleta stay together? Then Hecht-McCormick-Boyes.

Hows about Vanek - Leino - Staff and Ennis - Roy - Pommers?

I don't know, a skilled forward? In my opinion a power forward has to have grit, deliver hits and overall "power". Hartnell is a stereotype power forward for me. They are just labels and it doesn't really matter.

Ennis-Leino-Vanek looks fine, but with the glut of good RWs I don't see the need. I really think Boyes will be a great addition if he's only playing RW and not trying to fill in at center, so I don't want to see him buried on the 4th line, or with players that can't create for him. He's a lot like Stafford, good size with a good scoring touch, but not the puck handling or playmaking skills to go without a skilled center.

For me the 4th line would be set with McCormick-Gaustad-Kaleta. A nasty line who can also score a goal once in a while. Usually they have to split up after 3 games when Kaleta gets hurt.

I guess Lindy will just tell the Buffalo IT-division to write him an line-scrambling-app and players will fear the mobile.

Definitely not a skilled forward but I get what you mean. Power forward build without the play of a power forward. I was thinking his board play and nose around the net might compliment Ville and Ennis well.

Exactly. Lucic is a PF and Boyes is just well a forward.

Boyes is a forward with a scoring touch.

Boyes is a forward who got lucky for a couple years.

Boyes is a forward who has to play better or he will find himself on the 3rd line.
