Hey everyone I was just checkin my baseball fantasy team and looked at the NHL category and they have a "rumor" stating Boyes would be "stashed" in the AHL if Sabres do not get a salary dumping move done. I'm not an insider so didn't read more than 5-6 words but do they not know we have Kotalik and Morrison?

If they think Boyes will be stashed in the AHL, they are stupid, we didn't trade for him last year to not play for our team.

No way Boyes goes to the AHL the guy had 14 points in 21 games for us.. he wasn't a Torres. He is good.. he was just a little lost in the playoffs it seemed. I like the guy quite a bit he makes a living of just banging in rebounds but the guy can dangle to. We dump kots and morrison to ahl and then we have room for everyone. ESPN makes me giggle when they think they know anything about hockey.

There's no reason to dump him in the AHL, Morrisson and Kotalik will be there. That's what 5.5m right there?

Boyes will be even better this year with a training camp with us.

It would not make much sense to send him down to Rochester. Certainly hope it's not true.

nah, i dont see it being true. the only way i see boyes not playing for the sabres is if hes involved in a trade. which IS possible, though unlikely.

If Boyes goes to the AHL instead of Kotlaik and Morrisonn I will literally lose my mind. I won't lose my mind if he got traded for a top center.

Boyes won't go anywhere. And we have the centers we are going to use and Roy IS a top center in this league. He has been top 15 in points as a center for the last 5 years, and has been top 40 in the league in points the same years.

One of 15 guys who had a point per game average last year, yea he only played 35 games but still.

Roy is a good Center but in all reality he is not a "Top Centerman." His PPG is totally overrated from last year yes he had 35 in 35 but what would he have got in the next 47. And also when Roy is playing he was playing a "ME" game rather than a team game. Don't get me wrong that's a great way to boost your stats but not the greatest to get those wins. And it showed when he was out there compared to when we lost him to injury.

He's easily #1 centerman for the Sabres going into the season but I honestly think Leino will take him over. Just my 2 cents.

Roy is a bonafide 1st line center. Not top 10, maybe, but certainly top 20. What Leino is in terms of a center remains to be seen.

No way Boyes lands with the Rochester Americans. Boyes will be at his natural position on the wing. Kotalik and Morrisson will either be moved or playing with the Americans. Unless Kotalik comes to Buffalo in the best shape of his career and has improved his game I just don't see him in a Sabres Uniform.

Ya he "could" crack the top 20 but that would be barely IMHO.
