I personally thing that was dirty hit. We all know that Tyler isn't dirty and he was trying to play his heart out last night. He really took exception to being a health scratch but a dirty hit is a dirty hit and I wouldn't be surprised if he see's supplemental discipline for it. I know Kovalchuk said he left his feet but that was just momentum after the fact. http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2011 ... tyler.html I guess NJ is hoping for a suspension for Myers after his elbow on Zubrus last night. Video of the hit is here http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2011 ... us-zubrus/ |

Don't see how that's dirty. Myers would have to raise his arm to elbow him. He didn't stick his arm out, he left it at his side. If Shanny suspends him, Shanahan is officially dead to me. |

I'm betting that he will get suspended for the hit. |

Zubrus bent down, reaching for the puck after Myers had him lined up. Zubrus put himself in that position. Based on previous rulings on very similar hits, this is not a suspension. |

I hope its not and I'm pretty confident in saying that he did not intend to hit him in the head but it'll be interesting to see what Shanahan says about it |

jsut this quotes Zubrus admitted he was woozy after the hit, but he did not go to the quiet room to be checked for a possible concussion. |

Twittersphere has spoken: “@Real_ESPNLeBrun: No fine, no suspension for Tyler Myers. League decided after looking at it that head wasn't targeted” Dregger says that Myers will receive a call from Shanasham to explain how close he was to getting a suspension though. |

I can't believe there's no suspension. |

No, it was a clean hit because he didn't intentionally elbow him, and he left his elbow at his side. He's 6'8 for Christ's sakes, it's not like he boarded someone. |

At first I thought he was going to be suspended, but after watching it about 50 times, he didn't raise the elbow, that's just where his elbow happened to be. |
