Quote: "I think playing more physical is what ultimately helped my game. Playing that tough in the zone is what gets me in the game a lot more," Myers told the Sabres' official website. "I'm gonna have to find a way to do that every night. Obviously there are going to be nights when fatigue is going to set in, and it's going to be harder to play that physical for a full 60. It's something that I really have to bring back into my game." Hopefully this is a sign that he really didn't like being benched, and that we can look forward to more playoffs-version Myers instead of the timid shell we've seen most of this season. |

I hope he pops everyone like he did Zubrus. He's a tall guy and I think he'll get a bye more times than suspended if it comes close. Chara gets the same leash length, so should Myers. |

During the NJ game, you could tell that being benched was like having the world's sandiest vag for him. I loved the snarl he brought to that game, just hope he can keep it up. An added bonus but even if he didn't score those 2 goals, I thought his play was MUCH better than what we've seen. Keep that man in a cage and poke him with a stick before every game if need be! Make him good and angry! |

I don't like that conditioning seems to be an issue with him though. Both he and Ruff have mentioned at times that he's been tired on the ice. Maybe his lungs arent't as proportionally large as his frame. |

He tends to pick up steam and become a force more towards the end of the season. |

I'd say that's a pretty good observation. |

He was better against the Devils. That said, though he scored two goals, his team allowed 5 goals. I don't know if he was a minus in the game, but he could well have been. I still think he needs to play defense-first. All the pinching and rushing that got him his two goals also allowed for many, many odd-man rushes the other way. I could care less if you score goals when you're put out there against the top offensive players and you don't stop them from scoring. |
