Help me out here, because I was unable to watch the game last night. I checked the boxscore just now and noticed that we held a 3-0 lead before blowing it and losing in overtime. While this is nothing out of the ordinary for the Sabres, I was wondering if this was the case of Miller giving up some softies or was it more of the D-corps that let us down? Enlighten me, please.

Also, I'm getting REAL pissed off at the way this team consistently blows big leads. Not the mark of a team who will make it far in the playoffs.

one or two could be blamed on Miller. The opposing teams have learned to shoot high, glove side because that his Millers weak spot. I plan the total loss on the whole team (especially Ehrhoff and Gragnani). They literally didn't show up after the first period and looked like a totally different team. Stafford and Pominville get upset when they get booed. Well play like the Sabres for a full 60 minutes then you won't get booed.

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I blame Gragnani first, then I blame Miller.

fuck STAFFORD, I dont care if he got us to overtime, he could have won the game for us if he'd not whiffed on most of his beautiful chances. Hellen Keller is back in force.

Fuck Gragnani. WHY.DOES.THIS.GUY.GET.A.ROSTER.SPOT? Ruff...just come out with it, we know you're being blackmailed, just admit what it is and lets get past this, no amount of embarrassment is worth keeping Gragnani in the lineup.

For some reason I dont hate Ehrhoff. Except for last night, dear god he was terrible.

Miller. Sigh....me thinks miller is not going to be stealing us games anymore. He's less than mortal at this point, knock him around, shoot high, whatever....he's going to let in plenty of goals.

Hey Vanek, Pominville, Roy....anytime you overpaid twats want to show up and earn your cash that would be great. Really, anytime. I'd also sit either of those three if thats what we had to do to keep Kassian up here. Kid is the real deal.

I blame Gragnani and Ehrhoff first but Miller sucked after the collision with McNabb. He always gets thrown off his game when something like that happens.

...btw I can't hear the word pinching anymore, d-men pinching with a 2-goal lead is just plain stupid, same with d-men joining the rush (2nd goal Ehrhoff turnover).

Sounds like I was drunk when I typed this....

:snooty:

Miller's glove is his best attribute without a doubt. Also, I wouldn't fault Miller for this game.

1. Jagr's shot was retarded
2. Talbot had a tap in
3. Hartnell's shot was deflected off of Ehrhoff's skate which sent the puck top cheese
4. Giroux made a beauty fake to open up the five hole
5. Reid's goal was a bet sketch

goal by goal analysis by an expert.

1st goal: gerbe turn over, turns into an odd man rush. not millers fault
2nd goal: turn over, shot hit something, maybe the rafters, went in. not millers fault.
3rd goal: changed direction in flight. not millers fault
4th goal: jagr alone in the slot. not millers fault
5th goal: marc andre gragnani suffers catastrophic brain hemorrhage, break away the other way. not millers fault.

miller was sharp early, and gerbes turn over completely changed the momentum of the game. it seems like when it rains right now for miller, it pours. but the team play in front of miller was inexcusable. it was horrid. when you play horrid in front of ANY goalie, this is what happens.

These are my thoughts exactly. Miller played really well in the first period. Made a lot of good saves. The team played their asses off, then came out flat for the second and blew the lead. Not Miller's fault at all.

Yes sir. I still wanted to rip my hair out when I watched Giroux's shot trickle though Miller's five-hole from the 300's, though.

Glad to see other people who can properly disect the performance of a goaltender. These days it's just "Miller sucks"

I literally just laughed out loud in class over a M.A. Grags brain hemorrhage.

I can never blame Miller when you have Grags the douche-bag on defense.

Fuckit, pick any winger...he's got to be better than MAG. Hell, put Ellis back on D, I bet he'd be great, he hustles his ass off, and doesnt usually make special olympics passes.

I mean, who makes that pass in overtime, game on the line, RIGHT to their breaking forwards for a breakaway? I dont care that Ehrhoff wasnt where he was supposed to be, LOOK AT WHERE YOU ARE PASSING THE PUCK! That is the most careless shit, the kid plays like nothing matters, like it's freaking practice or something, GET HIS ASS OUT OF HERE!!!

This game could easily have been ours if we weren't a turnover machine.

Not picking on you daygo, but even the Versus guys admitted that Ehrhoff SHOULD have slid left to be a viable pass option for Grags on that play. Half CE fault for leaving him out to dry, and half Grags fault for half-whiffing on a dumb decision. Overall, I think Ehrhoff was our worst defensemen this game, however Grags has been the worst all season. I just thought this was worth mentioning, seeing me may have picked the wrong whipping boy for this particular game.
