Since IMO I think Ruff's time in Buffalo should be over, not because he's a crappy coach he's far from that, but because he's lost his team. I think the team if pushed the right way will outperform EVERY team in the NHL.

If anything happens to Ruff, it will happen today or tomorrow. This IMO would leave the new coach plenty of time to get comfortable with his immediate surroundings, being people, players, management, ownership etc..

If anything happens to the players, it should happen in the next two weeks-ish. Darcy won't jump on anything, we know this. I think the group of players in that locker room right now have a few poisons in it. Poisons being people who don't play team hockey and don't listen to the coach for one millisecond. IDK who, I want to guess, but it would be silly to do so.

If nothing happens in the next few weeks, then it will greatly depress me. I know there's possibilities at the end of the year to make bigger changes, but I think that if you truly want SOMETHING to get fixed, you should tinker now and see what results you can gain from about 30-35% of the season still to go.

Disclaimer: We knew what to expect with previous ownership, and we are still learning from this one, and I won't claim to know how to interpret what's going on now that would pertain to what may happen in the future. I'm just throwing opinions out there for discussion.

34/82=41% of the season to go. No need to make the rest of the season a write-off unless that's they way they (team and management) want it.

I agree, time to blow this shit up and see what can be salvaged. Better to start rebuilding NOW, than to piss away the rest of the season and gain nothing from it.

The voice of reason; yes. Let someone new evaluate the talent we have (or don't have), and have a good understanding of where we need to go, personnel wise after the season. Both from a coaching and managerial view.

Nothing will happen. At the end of the season. Darcy and Lindy will both be here. Will they survive the offseason? Well that is another story.

I also do not see Darcy doing much of anything with the current players we have. If they can manage to win 2 or 3 straight, then Darcy will think things are coming together and waste a 2nd rounder on some player that will do us no good and the Sabres will still miss the playoffs. :(

I doubt the "love affair" between Lindy, Darcy and the Sabres will end... I hope it does. This team definately needs a new voice. Darcy and Lindy aren't getting it done but knowing how Pegula's in love with these 2 I doubt they go anywhere. I hope they both get canned because honestly there time here has run its course.

I think Ruff and Darcy are good at their jobs but we need new blood. This team doesn't listen to Lindy anymore and a fresh coach may be able to look at these guys and see what the hell is broken.
