I know this is like, very low on the list.

But imagine having like, a huge ass heavy weight that would be able to eat anyone on the ice...

You think Lucic would run Miller if he knew someone would run his asshole afterwards?

If we find one of those types of guys (like, scary Boogard type guy)... We should get him. I'm sick of Gaustad being our enforcer. Cody's okay but not big enough to take on the big guys.

Won't happen under Regier and Ruff. They want to roll four lines with 12 forwards that can "play".

Well if we ever do decide to break that retarded system of theirs then we should get a big guy. Don't say Kassian. He's a good fighter but would get crushed by Lucic.

can we find a big monster that can play? there has to be one of em out there... and I agree... I personally feel the instigator rule has basically eliminated the enforcer, which is one of the reasons your seeing more injuries and more players taking greater liberties with each other because there is no on ice rule... or law or repercussions...

And the NHL has done this to limit fighting, and put the repercussions into the hands of the league.... the problem is the league, colin and now shanny are totally inconsistent... yes they are trying, but its a piss poor attempt...

take the subjective view out of these hits.... you hit someone illegally or head hit or run someone... and that player is injured.... you are out for the length of time that player is injured plus 5 games.... done! second offense in a season injury plus 15.... third offense in a season, your done for the season...

or

get rid of the instigator rule and let the players police themselves like they have for DECADES!

They don't need an enforcer, they have Kassian.

Make it happen.

Just to explain my reasoning for wishing we had this guy...

Need I say more?

Completely agree. They have tried to build a fast, high scoring :laughing-rolling: (that still makes me laugh) "offense only" team and subscribe to the belief that the league should do all the enforcing. This season proved that you can not rely on the league to do what they are suppose to do, enforce the rules and protect the players.

The only reason why we have Gaustad, McCormick, and Kassian on this team is because they have some offensive ablilty, not because of their "enforcer" abilities. Yeah, Kassain may get his shit kicked out of him if he goes against Lucic. At least he would go toe to toe unlike anyone else on this team. Hell, the only reason why Gaustad did it was out of a sense of obligation and the permission from Lindy.

Unfortunately they won't change. They will try, and most-likely fail, to build more offense. Especially since miller played like a pee wee goalie this season showed that we don't have all that much offensive prowess like the wanted to believe we did.

To answer your question, maybe we should but we won't.

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

If gerbe can take on .. well... anyone. I think Myers can run Lucic, I think Kassian can run Lucic. I think Gaustad can run Lucic.

OK, don't go after Lucic, go after his goalie like he did ours. Have Kaleta run Thomas, he'd get suspended, but I'm sure the Sabres would call the NHL out for not being fair in comparison to the Lucic hit, even considering the fact that the NHL has something out for Kaleta.
