who is the longest serving Sabre currently on the roster?

Who scored the first Sabres goal in the first regular season game at HSBC/Marine Midland?

Are we going by draft year, or season played consecutively in the blue and gold?

Two Sabres trivia questions:

1) Before being awarded a franchise in 1970, what NHL team did Seymour and Northrup Knox attempt to buy, with the intent of moving them to Buffalo?

2) What was the Sabres first AHL farm team?

Salt Lake Golden Eagles!

I only remember that because Billy Inglis and Skip Krake would go down there, and then be recalled, then go back, then.....

We have a winner.

Wrong league, although I didn't know they were affiliated with the Sabres. You learn something new everyday.

Wrong. Cincinnati was not our farm team until 1972.

Actually it was 1971. From what I can tell, the Sabres didn't have an AHL affiliate in 1970

Ah, but the question was, who were the Sabres first AHL farm team.

Did we have another AHL farm team before the Swords?

seasons played for the Buffalo Sabres. i guess technically there are two answers here. Tallinder is one, but he only played 2 games that year so i dont really think it counts...anyway, whos the second?

Was it one of the six American expansion teams of the '60s?

Salt Lake was WHL. The question was AHL, dude. And Cincinnati was in 1971, not 1972.

Also, there are Swords jerseys on eBay right now :D

This is true.

I still think most people do not know Salt Lake was our top minor league affiliate for two years; and I think the intent of the question was about our first one.

Technically I am wrong.....
