One year, $725,000.

Makes sense for both parties. While Sulzer played very well at the end of last season, there wasn't a long enough period of time to warrant him getting a large pay raise. But he did play far too well to agree to a multi-year deal at a low price.

NICE! Gives a chance to see if he can duplicate his performance for basically no money, and if he does it's a steal, if not it's a 1 year contract worth nothing.

B&Y is spot on. I think he fit in solid on the back end when given the chance last year. I think with some more time next season, we'll see some good things from him. If by chance he's a bust, stamp him with the Barbrady and call it a day..

Love this signing. Sulzer was freggin solid for us. Get him back running with his German compadre and they are the best duo on the roster. Now we need to get Goose back. Get Goose for 1-2 years. Ennis, Coho, Roy, Goose. We need wingers

What? No one has jumped you yet, declaiming how little we need Gaustad, good-bye & good riddance to him?? :confusion-scratchheadyellow:

I like Sulzer; I'm pleased with this signing. I consider him a solid veteran presence.

Because when you slot Goose in as a 4th line center along with what we already have, that's quite the depth.

As a $2M player, Gaustad isn't worth it. As a cheap 4th-liner, he's as valuable as they come, but that's exactly the reason he won't be coming back here.

Goose will test the market but if he can get signed for a reasonable price he is a very valuable player for this organization.

Sounds like a good bargain deal for him.
