Do you guys think he can make the club out of the gate? Looking at him, I really don't think so. |

I think they will give him every last look possible, and may give him a break try at wing - a la Seguin. If Regier can't make any other significant moves this summer, I feel that Vanek and Hodgson need another winger besides Tropp. Not that I don't like Tropp, but I want that line to be more of a threat and I wouldn't mind putting Tropp on the 4th line and letting Kaleta walk (not sure on that but I wouldn't mind). So how else would Grigorenko see the ice if all of Ennis, Hodgson and Roy are still on the roster? Seems like the best option would be to put Grigs at LW with Hodgson and Vanek... Grigorenko-Hodgson-Vanek Leino-Roy-Pominville Foligno-Ennis-Stafford Gerbe-McCormick-Kaleta/Tropp Ellis Regier can't just commit to Grigorenko being on the team though, so he has to decide if he's willing to stick with Tropp as he was at the end of the season. He also has to decide on whether to upgrade over Roy and/or McCormick, without knowing if Grigorenko has what it takes right now. So anyway, I think he has a good chance, but maybe a better chance at making it on the wing out of camp, and then moving to center later on. Maybe if/when Roy gets traded at the deadline. |

Grigorenko wants to play in the NHL. Not the KHL. He said if he's not ready he will head to the AHL. His goal is to play for the Sabres now, the whole Russian stereotype shit needs to stop. |

It's not true for all, and most likely not even the majority. It's really stupid. |

I don't care where he's from either, other than my interest in, yes, stereotyping where certain names usually come from. I have noticed that names ending in -orenko, -shenko etc. are usually Ukrainian. This means absolutely nothing about the person's character or anything else, just where they're from. It's not a comment on Eropean vs. American either. Serenity now people. |

Sorry, I mistook your comment as another one of the idiots trying to tell me that Russians have a bad track record, therefore Grigorenko might be bad news. Fuck that, not you. |

He makes the team out of camp and stays the entire year, forcing Roy out. We can all wish right? Knowing how this team works he will go back to Juniors though, but he has the potential to make the team. |

Sounds like he may stay up if he does well. |

I like the idea of him starting at LW, moving him to C later in time to trade Roy at the deadline. It would give time for Grigs to learn the NHL game, and Roy time to bring his trade value back up and get another 1st rd pick again. |
