The Sabres are dead effin last in the league in FO% Yeah we knew we were dealing our best faceoff guy when Goose left...he was a real specialist, but this crop of centers can't seem to achieve even mediocrity at that skill. What gives with these guys? |

Well, Steve Ott is our best faceoff guy and he doesn't take faceoffs (except some important ones) because he plays wing. It's stupid. We are weak in the middle and it shows. |

Ott is #3 on the Sabres in faceoffs taken. "He doesn't take faceoffs" is just wrong. Regardless, these mopes need to be better. |

And Ott playing wing still has nothing to do with him taking faceoffs. IF your best FO guy is a winger, let him take the faceoffs when he is on the ice when needed and he slots back into wing after the faceoff. STP, have you not seen that happen before, or are you just ignoring it because he "plays" wing and wingers can't take faceoffs EVER!!!! |

Unless I misheard what Darcy was saying, that our defense needs to improve. Yes, that is true, but I would REALLY like to see our centers win those important faceoffs Mr. GM. |

Oh STP, towards the end of the last game Hodgson was about to take a draw and the camera was on him. You could see him and Ott talking. And before you know it Ott was taking the draw. After he lost the faceoff he went back to playing wing and not center. So your whole, "Too bad Ott plays wing and can't take draws because he's not a center" theory is flat out wrong. |

Speaking of which, what happened to Jason Pominville taking faceoffs? |

Speaking of which, what happened to Jason Pominville taking faceoffs? I haven't noticed him take them lately, I know he doesn't on PP time because he plays the point on them. He was at 12% against Ottawa. So he's still taking faceoffs. |
