Any indication he'll stay up with the Sabres though? I'm guessing he'll go down to Rochester.

I hope they put him with Ennis. Someone with skill Ennis can play with, and more minutes for Grigs.

Either put him on the first line here or send him to Rochester. No reason to screw with his development. Again.

Should have clarified with "scoring lines". Good point.

Complete agreement here. We have plenty of reasons to believe he'll be a #1 center, so let's get him used to it ASAP. Of course, he's only 18 now, and there's no way to know how good he'll become, but this kid very may well be the cornerstone of our future.

Agreement with everyone in here. If he is not going to play on the top two lines there is no reason to have him up here. I say we switch Ennis back to winger and roll Grigs on that line. I can see those two gelling together very well. And in a perfect world seeing a Leino type player with them would be ideal. Someone who can drag, hold, and set up a play to compliment the speed, prowess, and playmaking ability of those two. You have to leave Coho on the first line. The guy is a stud and will only get better. Which begs the question, has anyone heard anything in regards to contract negotions with him. A 2-4 year deal would work. He is one of the few I would build this team around. I am on a wait and see with Myers. I say he rounds back into form next year. Ennis is a winger. Coho is stout. Leino has shown spurts of absolute brilliance with the puck. Try to renogiate. Vanek if he will stay. Trade Miller for a goalie and/or picks. The thing with Vanek and his style of play is that he will be productive for several more years. Park his ass on a walker in front of the net and he will deflect 10-15 a year.

Honestly, I just want to send him down to Rochester. He knows what the NHL brings. Give him a lighter test in the minor Pros. Progress slowly.

I know his junior team is done for the year, but is he even eligible to play in the AHL this year?

Because the yellow is true, the answer to the green is yes, he is.

I don't see why toying with this guy is a good idea. Maybe they want him to get familiar with players he will be with next year, assimilate to travel conditions, etc. The "grind" as the kids say. In that regard I could see a slight stint being good for the kid. Sure he was up here once but it wasn't that long and there are different faces in that locker room

Hahaha, I'm drunk??? Are you??? Grigorenko was a disaster when he was up last. I know most on here will flip when I say this but I don't think this kids will do well in the NHL. Just my opinion and I have no real reason to back it up. Just say its a hunch... I hope he proves me wrong.

Here's your indication. You just said it. He's a freaking kid, and the Sabres jumped the gun by keeping him up here. He needs time to develop. He wasn't ready. He doesn't suck, though.

Amerks twitter account says Luke Adam has been reassigned to Rochester. Guess this means Grigo is staying up with the big boys. Damn it.

Let him come up and play, evaluate what you have, and what you need to surround him with to make him better. This team needs to start looking forward, not back. Build around him, or listen to offers for him. I still think he's a lot better than what he showed, and he's still a kid, he's only going to get better.

I understand that, but he's 18. HE'S FREAKING 18. There's no need to rush him. He's a kid.
