http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id= ... L|BUF|home no matter how he plays this year, at least we can say hes trying to improve. and this is very encouraging. ive heard all the players who have been skating together this summer are buying into the skate instructors plans and even grigs spent time in buffalo and improved his skating significantly. |

Man, sounds like He's ready to have a monster year. I wonder who all on the sabres has been skating/working with him? Does he mention that in the audio interview? |

I am glad Myers is working hard. I just hope we don't give up on him like Ottawa with Chara. Some big guys take awhile. Kid has all the potential in the world. Others people I hope participated.....stafford, leino, foligno, mcnabb, and every young buck coming up IE Armia |

If it's the Sabres Skating coach it is Dawn Braid. She also has worked with Pysyk and he has made huge progress. In the Blue and Gold Episode 3 she makes an appearance. As long as that's the same skating coach in that video. |

I am hoping Hank will get this kid's head back into NHL mode. |

While I agree Hank won't be a determining factor it could very well help him on a psychological level. He has allegedly put in the work so the determination factor has been addressed. But having Hank, the guy he thrived with, skating next to him could let him ease his mind a bit and take him back to the place he was at before his funk. I think both things culminate in him becoming a force again. Or at least we all hope. On a side note pistol Ristol had a goal today |

I unfortunately think Hank is a 7th D-man. We have Myers, Ehrhoff, and Weber as the absolute locks. Sulzer and McBain are the next highly likely locks. So we have Pysyk who I think should be a lock from his play last year and same with Ruhwedel. That makes 7, but I also hear McBain did pretty badly last year, so that can open up room on the blueline for some of the prospects. What I'm most excited about is Ristolanian playing in Rochester next year. I'd love to see him make the team, but if you think about it, in about 5 years, we will most likely have the tallest D in the league. Myers is 6'8, Rist is 6'4, Ehrhoff is 6'2, McNabb is 6'4, Zadarov is 6'5 and Weber is 6'2. Imagine playing against a D like that. Pysyk and Ruhwedel are 6'1 and 5'11 so they would be the short guys. And we also have Foligno, Grigorenko both over 6 feet tall and Girgesons who is a bull. These prospects make me so excited for our future. |

McBain blows ass. He was out of shape and awful last year. HE'S our 7th. |

Ristol allegedly announced he will not play developmental hockey. Not sure if this is true. Through a grapevine type deal last week |

I hope his shits a two way contract(McBain). He's a depth man who can step in should, god forbid, someone go down with injury. He won't crack the roster. |

Doesn't make a difference if it's two-way or not, and it isn't two-way. He's been in the league awhile. What he's trying to say is whether it's two-way or not (it isn't, his deal is one-way), that doesn't matter in terms of waivers. Pretty much the only players who are waiver exempt are those who are on entry-level contracts. There's other exceptions, but that's the easiest way to think about that. |
