I have to assume Nolan wants to see a bit of Luke Adam and maybe McNabb....

He can still go to Jrs. because he's under 20. Only problem is Quebec has the maximum number of imports a CHL team can have (2) so they either need to trade Grigorenko to another team OR they can simply give up his Jr. rights. Then, he might be able to go to Rochester.

Oh I completely agree...they're not fully baked yet.
Although I fear permanent damage may have been done to Grigs....perhaps he can just start kicking ass again in the Q

Probably, but if we can blame anyone for this, it's Darcy fucking Regier.

I hope they give up Grig's JR rights as he needs to be in Rochester with the rest of those guys. We've all said it before, Juniors does no good for the kid.

I'm all for McNabb and Adam coming up and Kaleta back up. Yes, Kaleta is a bonehead sometimes, but he is a very good PK player and hopefully he learned something in Rochester.

I'm also glad to see Nolan not try to ruin these kids. Even though I disagree with Risto being sent down, but it will only help the kid. I'm also very glad Zadorov gets to play again, he needs to be playing 25 minutes a night in London, not sitting watching NHL players play.

I don't think Grigs is permanently damaged yet. He's still too young for that.

another wrinkle...Sounds like some of the vets weren't pleased with the spots given to the youngsters.
Glad to see the air in the dressing room getting cleared. Let the Rolston purge continue

Grigs apparently going to Rochester on a conditioning assignment

The Grigorenko case is just a mess. Isn't that his second conditioning stint in Rochester this year. What the fuck is this kid doing in Buffalo. Darcy fucked it up, he should have been sent to Jr. right after the camp.

Last year's camp? Probably. This year wouldn't have made a difference. His contract already kicked in.

Grigorenko has not had a conditioning stint in Rochester, he was brought up for the last few games last year and for the playoffs after Quebec got eliminated.

And Ruff is equally at fault for keeping him here far beyond what he should have been.

yeah, his ELC was burned on a lockout year...genius!
Now they have to use tricks to keep him off the roster.

Ok, my bad. I thought I read about Grigorenko being sent away for conditioning before...What blows my mind is that Ruff and Regier are very experienced guys. I wonder what they saw in him last year to keep him here.
Now you have a young (I'm still not sold that he is really 19) guy with a ton of weak areas in his game and no confidence.

Being on the Sabres doesn't help either. How should a struggling young guy get better on such a weak team.

McNabb and Adam are not at the morning skate in Rochester so it's assumed those two have been called up.

Also, it seems the NHL may not like the tricks the Sabres are playing with Grigs

Yep, the NHL rejected Grig's "conditioning" stint...I mean, it's pretty obvious.
What now for him? Press box...KHL?

They didn't see anything. It was a panic move because the Sabres had pretty much nothing experienced down the middle.

As for the NHL stepping in on the Grigorenko conditioning assignment, I sort of figured that might happen. There was no reason Grigorenko could have been sent down.

The Grigorenko situation is getting worse and worse. I feel bad for the kid, I wouldn't blame him if he just wanted out and play somewhere else (KHL).
