Quote: ''I don't think it was anything they did, I think we beat ourselves tonight,'' Isles forward Kyle Okposo said. ''We didn't create a whole lot of opportunities. When we had some, we shot ourselves in the foot.'' I am more drawing on the "I don't think it was anything they did", as in the sabres didn't really win the game, it was the isles who lost the game. The sabres kicked your butts Okposo... You were shown what your team really is. What your team really does on the ice. By the BETTER team. |

I love how the Sabres didn't play the flu card for the reason they got smoked on 10/31. Okposo needs to mature. |

Yeah, I can completely understand how that might have sapped their energy. I've played baseball with a temperature of 102, and that sucked, and baseball isn't even an endurance sport. |

I will be happy to outplay, outshoot, outfaceoff, outhit, and outscore every opponent we face this year if that's what it means to win undeservedly. |

Every player is going to say that, unless they are truly just honest about what they think. The coaches would much rather players say that then about how badly they truly played and how few shots they took and everything. I think it would be much more interesting for a player to come straight forward with how he played the game, like I plain sucked and was terrible like the rest of our team. We were outworked in all aspects of the game, and our center's couldn't win a faceoff to save their life. We will work on our game for next time and put it behind us though. |

No one will really be like that though because no one wants to throw a teammate under the bus, nor should they. |

Yeah Miller does that and then fans give him shit for it, saying he's pointing fingers at his teammates intead of taking responsibility for his own play. Which I never understood because he's never shyed away from publically criticizing himself if it is warrented. |

They get criticized like nothing else for it, even though they're usually just honestly answering a question that some reporter asks them about their teammates' play. |

Keep bitching Okposo...at least you didn't get crushed by three Sabres while standing on the edge of the crease, hammering away at Miller for the puck. Tavares tried that, and got MASHED for it (bonus mashing via Rivet's fists). And he wasn't bitching. |

Does he realize that it was our defense that didn't let them get opportunities? |
