You're right, I'll change this to being a GAMEDAY BRAWL THREAD.

Let's start it off with this Sabres vs Flyers beauty from 1973. Back then we REALLY hated the Flyers...much more deeply than we do now.

Oh EXCELLENT!!! I'd forgotten how those Sabres-Flyers games used to go! How I HATED Dave Schultz! But then hearing names like Referee Bruce Hood, Linesman Leon Stickle....the linesmen were tough buggers, weren't they?

And I've got to tell you, this is why I loved Jim Schoenfeld! Makes my heart race to see him going at it again, the taunting going on with Schultz. Damn, I miss those days

And I still really, really hate the Flyers. Biron & Briere never belonged there. Never. Bunch of goons & bullies first, hockey players second. :angry-fire:

My ALL TIME favorite Flyers/Sabres fight...Lee Fogolin charging in and just beating the living shit out of Flyer goon Paul Holmgren after he cheap shotted and began punching Donny Edwards. I was at this game and it was one of my all time favorite moments EVER in sports. I believe this was 1978. Holmgren cheap shotting and pounding on Edwards: And Fogolin storming in to absolutely kick the shit out of Holmgren. Still gets my blood pumping seeing this.

I liked Horton putting Schultz in a bear hug once, and flipping him on his back on the ice. I'll give that one to Tim Horton.
