I know I'll take some heat with this thread but the last two games showed how bad this team can be. We started the season great again and now they are comfortable so they are taking games off. THESE ARE THE POINT WE NEED TO GET AND WE BLEW ALL FOUR!!!!! This is the same shit they did last two seasons, win to teams it doesn't matter and lose to the teams that count.

I know it's early to start the doom and gloom but history tends to repeat itself with this club. Maybe I'm just pissed off because my wife insisted on watching this crap again this morning since she missed the game.

We've lost 3 out of the last four by a combined score of 14-7...
Not good.

82 games in a season, the team isn't going to win everyone of them. As I have attempted to point out the holes on this team (opinion only) some people get upset at constructive criticism. Not me, 4 or 5 loses at this point isn't cause for alarm, what team shows up "consistently" (yes, I went there) is going to be important though.

Well, we'll see how long this goes on for with the schedule picking up pace in a couple of weeks.
I don't think Lindy is afraid to make changes, we've all seen that. And I do believe Hecht and/or Tallinder can be traded away, hell, I personally want a package deal to bring someone in who "capatilizes" on chances and is a leader on the ice, either for line 1 or 2.

I just hate losing the important points that could mean a playoff run or not. We'll see how this team handles the other games against conference rivals that are coming up (like the Sens who are right on our tail).

Sorry about the doom/gloom thread, I'm not one who usually posts them. I was just so frustrated with the last two games.

We weren't going to magically be the most dominant team in the league this year folks.

We'll have growing pains throughout the season.

Seeing how it's november, and these are our first back to back losses of the season... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

that's what bothers me...it's not like our losses were close 1 goal games that could have gone either way.....

we looked awful in those losses....definitely not good

If history is any indication we are in for a frustrating season, with some highs and lows.
This team is either awesome or horrible. It seems there is no inbetween.
(yes it is only a few losses, but those losses looked just like losses from the past 2 years; little to no effort, horrible defense, can't get it in the net)

and anyone who says "They are fine they had a great start so shut up" holds no grounds until the Sabres can get passed this point in the season and keep the wins coming consistantly into a playoff spot. Until they can prove to me that the start wasn't a fluke then I basically call bs on the team, as it is way to similar to last year. Yes a system change was good, but not if they can't keep it up.

If they didn't do the same thing early last season we wouldn't be having this discussion, but that is what history does. It teaches you to learn from your mistakes. Hopefully the Sabres have learned and can prove me wrong. Happy 08-09
