He looked like a NATURAL out there with Connolly. He can shoot, dangle, and pass. He's got tremendous speed. He knows the game and is positioned well.

Keep... him.... up!

In a perfect world, Stafford would be out two more games and Ennis would perform on Wednesday and Friday at the same level that he played last night. In a perfect world, the "Keep Ennis Up" threads would wait until Friday night.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...in the back of my head, I'm thinking the same thing PSP is. :shhh:

I didn't say permanently yet. I meant for another game! I want to see if this kid can do this consistently.

SHEEEESH!

OH! Yes! I concur, entirely!

Also, Adam, as long as Stafford remains injured, I don't think Ennis is going anywhere. Even if Grier returns, you know it'll only knock Mair out of the lineup.

Good point, Phil. I just didn't know how serious Stafford's injury was.

A skill guy with energy that actually hustles a little? Sure why not... keep him up.

Slightly off-topic, but serious lulz at Ennis wanting a piece of Pronger

I liked what I saw, thought he looked a bit lost in his own end though.

The depth and genius of your posts astounds me, JD. Truly heady stuff.

Go for the clarification on the initial post son!

Ennis is ready, he will have a learning curve to go through, no different than Kennedy or Myers. But new blood on this team is what was needed. Myers has made a huge impact. Kennedy brings that drive and desire that has been lacking a couple of seasons.

Remember when Pommers, Vanek and Goose were young, the days of Drury and Briere. I don't think, no, I know Drury and Briere were made even better by these guys when they had that young, determined to make an impact mind set.

I say put him in, but at what position? He is listed as a center, do we move Kennedy over to LW, his original position and keep Kaleta on the RW? So many questions.

I think having Kennedy available as a LW/C would be an incredible asset to this team. The Kennedy/Ennis/Kaleta line looked good last night, but it's awfully small and could get manhandled by fast, big teams. I'd like to see that line during high-momentum moments over the next few games, as they seem to feed off of it well.

If they keep using their speed, no one in this league is going to be able to skate with them.

They're three of the fastest skaters I've ever seen... and yes, Kaleta too.

Not only was he a rocket ship on the back check last night, but watch how fast he torpedos in on this hit.

The sound of his blades as he moves closer and closer to the wall makes me think of a fucking cruise missile about to hit it's target. UNREAL!

Actually, his first big hit of the night was on NHL.com's top 5 plays from last night. Made me smile :D

Having Ennis center Kennedy and Kaleta would require Hecht to get waived and demoted, or claimed by someone else. Damn, looks like no matter how good Ennis is, he's going back down.

At the very least, he's putting pressure on Stafford to do his job.
