Interesting article: http://www.sabrespace.com/buffalo-sabre ... lding-out/ Mancari regrets holding out and missing out on a chance to impress the Sabres in preseason (no shit). Dineen comments that while Mancari has NHL ability, his one-dimensional offensive style lacks the toughness and belligerence necessary for a player his size to get to the next level (no shit). |

Well, he should look at the bright side, staying in Portland has given him the opportunity to be an AHL coach in 15 years or |

Serves him right, just because you tear up the AHL doesn't mean you can hold out. I never heard Dominic Pittis holding out of camps. |

He could have shown up early, signed, never missed a day of camp; and would still be in Portland. |

Until he starts hitting and dropping the gloves he'll stay in Portland. We don't need a 6'3" 230lb pussy losing battles and shying away from contact. |

What ETC said. The kid is a behemoth. He's bigger than Lucic, but plays smaller than St. Louis. Someone needs to punch him in the face repeatedly before games to make him mad. I mean, shit, the Sabres could use a huge RW with scoring and a temper to go along wi...OHAI ZACK KASSIAN |

Quote: Mancari said the Sabres’ brass told him they have no hard feelings toward him. Yeah...that's a good one. The one thing the Sabres' brass is best at is harboring hard feelings... |

We fans regret the fact that a reasonably skilled player with a great shot and very good size doesn't have the cajones to do anything with said attributes. |

Indeed, Howie. It's so hard to find a big guy like that with good skills, so when he refuses to mix it up and play tough enough to get to the next level it's just such an incredibly bitter disappointment. |

Too bad he never panned out, he would have been a good asset to the team when we needed size and grit, and a power forward. |

How do you make it this far in your career and have no motivation? The biggest asset to a player is effort, and Mancari screwed up his career because he didn't try. With his skillset and size, he easily COULD have been making 2 mil a year in the NHL. |
