luke adam is good in the Q, but i have a hunch hes not going to be a big impact player in the NHL. could be wrong,

Patrick Sharp...thats who he reminds me of, a guy who wont really develop until about 24-25, perfect for Darcy Regier, because Regier doesn't give up on young players.

I think he'll be a good fit

We've have enough flashy midgets who are incapable of hitting or doing the dirty work necessary to score goals most nights. One more I can handle (Ennis), but two more is one too many and I think Gerbe becomes the odd man out.

Not in the future. Gerbe and Ennis are going to be our two flashy midgets, flanked by guys like Zach Kassian, Tim Kennedy, Luke Adam, and others.

I'm going with you on this one PSP. A month or so ago I would have said trade Gerbe, but I've been noticing him using his agility lately, and it could become a huge asset for him(and us). I'm back on the Gerbe bandwagon.

Gerbe seems to be a puck hog.

I'm the other way. A month ago I was greedy and wanted to keep these two. But Gerbe in his recent call up hasn't shown much of anything. I say trade him before other teams realize he won't make it. I hope Gerbe proves me wrong but I just don't think he can be as effective in the NHL as he is in the AHL.

if we throw perrson (wasted pick) and butler (wake up dude) that could make things even nicer. i mean we could trade up. could clear some defensive space rid of a piece of crap in perrson - for weber, gragnani. Possibly land a second as well as move up or whatever you plan to get with the first. Ryan O'Conner is interesting OFD. throw stafford in as well.

Stafford, Butler, Perrson, Gerbe, 1st for what.

There aren't too many teams that want to take on loads of scraps and give up something of value.

Persson has 0 trade value.

Butler should NOT be moved this off season. He had a down year and his trade value is at an all time low. He will get better next season.

I agree about Butler. Next year will be his breakout year. 40 points, very solid defensively.

While both of those statements are probably a stretch, I keep hearing RJ say the same thing over and over, "kept in by Butler". He's like Garry Galley at keeping any weak around-the-boards clearing attempts in. That WILL definitely get him points, while maintaining his defensive composure. I'm still pro Butler at this point.

As for your package medisabre, one team won't want 'that' package. They have needs, and would want to dictate who they're getting more than, "we give you these guys, you give us what we want".

did i expect to get much no. was i trying to unload crap yes. we unloaded macArthur who lacked motivation so the story goes, and we got two picks. simply adding more players to unload. miami did something the first year sparano was coach they ditched like a ton of players which he replaced with people who can play football. didn't rely on an offensive line for a sub par QB in sanchez. yes i realize two different sports. but hmm people could learn from history, and learn from other people, such as such hockey and football can learn from each other.

Football desperately needs a rookie cap, as it is pitiful that Stafford makes more money than Tom Brady, and Bradford will likely make a lot more money that Brady.
