Yes and No.

Frolov is an underachieving UFA-to-be. Roy for Frolov is overpayment on the Sabres part, let alone Roy + a 1st rounder.

And the Thrashers would laugh at Roy + 1st for Kovy. Atlanta will want a siiiiick package to move Kovalchuk along the lines of Butler, Ennis, Kassian, and a 1st.


They would really expect us to throw away out future talent? It wouldn't be that much. Roy+1st and maybe Butler or something would be enough.


no, it would not be en ough. in fact, i dont think the jim bob package is enough.

Pittsburgh gave up two roster players (Colby Armstrong and Eric Christensen) a former 1st round forward (Angelo Esposito) and a 1st to rent Marian Hossa from the Pens.

My guess is that Atlanta would want that much or more.

So, how about Stafford, MacArthur, Ennis or Kassian, and a 1st for Kovy?
