theyve wanted to move him since the movie rainman came out in the 80s. yet its never happened. smoke and mirrors i think. but yes, id do that trade. |

I doubt that Golisano will pay the freight as Vinny's salaries from now through 2015-16 are $10M per year. That is a lot more cake than Vanek will be making. Plus, that deal will create a huge hole at center for the 'Ning. I can't see them moving Vinny unless a solid center is coming back their way. I don't see the Sabres having the right package to offer TB for Vinny. |

Another player on the decline that doesn't play defense. Lecavalier, like Kovalchuk would be the worst +/- player in sabres history. |

No Vinny please. The contract is horrible. I would rather have a "almost in prime(even if he is injured right now)" Vanek and a prospect with great potential like Gerbe, than Vinny. |

I would definately do that....but I don't think Tampa would. As was mentioned above, huge hole at center...and all of our other centers have big contracts. |

Sure bring Vinny over, he has done about as much this year as the top six forwards in Buffalo have.

The only player in the NHL right now that I'd give up that much for is Alex Ovechkin, you're talking a 40 goal scorer, an Olympic Defensive man (on a genuine Olympic team), a future 20 goal scorer, and a 3rd round choice...that's a lot to give up for anybody. |
