Now I know that because this is eklund the actual probability of this happening or the probability of the talks even happening are about 5% but an interesting article on his site.

"I normally wouldn't put this up so quickly, but this source comes from very close to this situation and predicted to me just now in a phone call that these would be the "first two teams to make a post-Christmas deal."

My source wouldn't give me exact names, but did note that "There is a shelf life on this deal. If the details aren't worked out by Tuesday all bets are off, and the Hawks, who have had discussions with one of these two teams, will likely jump in and steal the show."

I am hearing the Kings have interest in Roy and the Sabres are interested in Frolov or Dustin Brown. Also hearing that the Kings may be getting a goalie prospect in the deal.

I would love to see Dustin brown in a sabres uniform personally and I wouldn't mind frolov too much either. Taken the fact that Enroth hasn't been having the best of years and possibly mentioned in a deal wouldn't surprise me.

What are your thoughts on this? Roy + Enroth + ? for Frolov/Brown or Both? :o

We wont let Enroth go... no way in Hell.... as for Roy... well it depends... Course now I wouldnt mind giving up Roy and Enroth for Kane :P

Roy isn't going to be involved in anything with a 'shelf life' when he's hurt with a questionable return date.

No reason why Enroth couldn't be on the block though. Put Stafford up there while you're at it.

I'd move Roy Stafford and Enroth to get Brown and Frolov back...any day of the week. A true bruiser of a power forward in Brown, and a natural goal scoring winger like Frolov...tell me where I sign. :P

Frolov is as much, if not more, of an enigma as Zherdev is. DO NOT WANT to Frolov...DO WANT to Brown.

And just for the sake of discussion, the afore mentioned cap hits are equal to Brown and Frolov, so it mathematically works out.

Thats why i said the probability of this is some 5% but I don't doubt that maybe Reiger is finally making a move to help this team out, and if it involved Brown or Frolov or both, heck i woulnd't mind.

I would trade Enroth for Brown, probably Roy in there too

The value of Brown is through the roof though, he's got a 3 million dollar cap hit, scores, crushes people, and is a great leader

with lalime in the last year of his contract and biron going to be available and willing to play the role of a back up, i could see enroth being up on the block. Then it would be quite apparent the sabres would more than likely look at a goalie like Jack Campbell first round of this years draft. i just say all that to say trading enroth is not out of the question. as for frolov or brown i'd probably rather go after brown, but i doubt the kings would be looking to trade their captain and as they are predicted to be one of the teams that are gunning as a dark horse. And i would also like to see it be a trade involving connolly and not roy. but it's ecklund and thus a needle in a haystack.
