Here is what they say so far. According to TSN: "While details are few, sources say the Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of completing at least one trade today that will be viewed as a "major change." Specifics as to whether the deal will be for an upgrade in goal, or for offensive help, weren't provided, however this deal and potentially others are very close to being completed." burke needs to see good defense as the olympic d he has chosen is quickly falling apart. Johnson has been a healthy scratch, komiserik is probably out due to injury. i wouldn't be against seeing whitney or gologoski get a shot. as well why doesn't he at least ask myers i know myers will probably say no but it is going to be hard to make the canadian team. |

Myers can't play for the US. He's ineligible and has no intention of ever playing for the US anyway. |

I think Myers could play for Team USA actually. It might be different when you come from Juniors to the higher level in International competition. I have no idea but even the hockey experts have said Myers should play for Team USA. |

No, nobody has said Myers should play for the US. There was a lame article about who should be an All-Star if there was an All-Star game this season. That's completely different. Myers would not be eligible for the US in international play unless he gave up all international play for four years and didn't become a citizen and play for any other country during that span. Trust me, Myers can't in any way play for the US, and he doesn't want to. I don't have a link but from his own mouth he said he's loyal to Canada since that's where he learned to play after moving there. |

i think it is where you start. if you play international olympics for the US then you have to play with them or sit out until a switch is valid, which i believe is 4 years. I don't think they take in effect where you played the younger tourneys. myabe because it is still IHF |

Yea, I I guess since the Juniors is a sanctioned IIHF event it starts there. But even if he goes down as one of the greatest defensemen, though never playing for Team USA in international competitions, he is still an American, and is considered that. |

yea all the articles i'm finding are saying since he played for team canada in the world juniors it is a no go. As well if you are not on the original list submitted to the olympic committee you cannot be added b/c of a drug test. one article mentioned andy greene but said no because he was not on the initial list and did not take the drug test. |

OK, for the last time, Myers will never ever play for the United States because he feels indebted to the Canadian love of hockey for where he is (#1 defenseman on a division leader in the NHL at 19 years old) today. |

We know, but he is still an American, so when he retires he will be considered one of the best American Defenders out there, even though he never played for America in International competition. |
