Brooks Laich: An upgrade on Drew Stafford that could be had from Washington if they're looking for defensive help. To Washington: Lydman+Stafford To Buffalo: Laich + prospect + pick Laich is a physical player, who draws penalties, drives hard to the net, scores in the playoffs, and puts up more points than Stafford. He's not the best fighter, but he's not afraid to stand up to much larger players. |

I think the Caps are going to ride out the season like it is, Ovechkin is scoring at ridiculous rates, and Nackstrom and Semin are also contributing very well. That team is clickin and they don't want to mess with it, they've won 14 straight so something is right for them. I'd love it though. |
