Interesting, but unconfirmed. This is from Edmontonhockeyblog from LAST October: “A source in Edmonton says the Oilers would trade puck-moving defenseman Tom Gilbert in a heartbeat for Drew Stafford , if the Sabres were interested. The Oilers, who have longed for Stafford since he entered the league, need a bigger winger. Fat chance. He's been crappy this year, but pretty solid the two before that. Defenseman 27 years old 6-3, 206 33 and 45 pts in 07-08 and 08-09 before only 12 so far this year. |

Poor guy just bought a house in Edmonton in October. I can't believe Regier is gonna bring this guy in with a $5 mill price tag next year(if that's true, haven't looked it up yet). |
