He's 22 and looks pretty promising. I don't know, I'm just throwing out some ideas so don't like yell at me because well, I don't know just don't haha. But anyways, I say we throw an offer at him and see what happens. (He is a RFA)

Well, we'd have to buy-out one of our roster players first, as we're on a "budget".

As for Meuller, he had a strong rookie season (54 points), but he was awful the last 2 seasons, before be traded to the Avs. He had 20 points in 15 games with Colorado, so maybe that finally woke him up.

I'd say go for it, but we need to keep pinching those pennies. He seems like he might be a lazy player, too...

he was on a pretty terrible Phoenix team for the most of his short career, I say maybe buy out Stafford and Replace him with Mueller?

Buying him out wouldn't work with our "budget" as it was cost us more in the long run (paying Stafford "and" his replacement)

Maybe a straight-up trade, although I don't think the Avs would bite unless we threw in Sekera or something.

Yeah, they might go for that. They need d-men, and have an assload of cap space. And who knows, putting Stafford with Stastny or Duchene might light a fire under his as (finally)

So would I but unfortunately it will never happen. The Avs like Mueller way too much, hes not going anywhere.

If a deal is good enough, anyone will take it.
