This cat named GARTH, a blogger? I'm guessing, had this to say about the Sabres and LA Kings as possible trade partners. "Speaking of Connolly.....I spoke with a Western conference contact today who tells me that the LA Kings are looking for a playmaking centreman. They want a top six playmaker. They have an embarrassment of riches in young Dmen in their system like Colton Teubert and Thomas Hickey. I've heard that the Kings would be willing to move Dman, Jack Johnson, if the price is right." A good Defensive partner for Myers? He was a 3rd overall pick. Discuss. |

Ya, I binged Sabres Trade Rumors and mulled through the pages, looking at different responses, this one had a Nov. 8th date on it. Just curious Squanto as to what people think about LA as a trade partner. I was just over at their website, I like that guy Stoll. One can dream. |

I don't think that a defense partner for Myers is this teams #1 or even #5 need right now. I do think MGMT would move Connolly if the deal was right, and regardless of whatever recent PR statements that have been made. I think the Sabres defense is good, and pretty crowded. I think JJ is very much overrated, a bust as a top 3 pick, and he has attitude problems. |

JJ is still young, and lots of LA Guys hate him, he hasn't flourished like Doughty did, but JJ is still only 23. I would love to have him on our team, because he is just one of those guys who it is taking them a bit to learn defense in the NHL, remember it took Campbell a long time to be the guy he was with us. |

Dustin Brown please, we need top six forwards that play every night. As for Jarret Stoll he would be a down grade from TC in the point department, face-off ability is way better though. He's off to a good start this year but besides that he's a career third line center. There was actually just a thread on HFboards about how much better Johnson has been playing than Doughty so far this season. Probably would have to give up more than Connolly. Jarrett Stoll wouldn't be a bad option, good on the faceoffs, bomb of a shot, but like JJ people have questioned his attitude. Seems to have gotten better since going to LA tho. |
