New Jersey Devils: Henrik Tallinder NEWARK, NJ - FEBRUARY 01: Henrik Tallinder #7 of the New Jersey Devils skates during an NHL hockey game against the Ottawa Senators at the Prudential Center on February 1, 2011 in Newark, New Jersey. (Photo by Paul Bereswill/Getty Images) Paul Bereswill/Getty Images For a player who was a key component in the Buffalo Sabres lineup, his move to the New Jersey Devils has been quite disappointing. For a defender like Tallinder to put on a Devils' jersey, there were high expectations. But this season has shown that this was not a good move for New Jersey. Tallinder's numbers aren't terrible, but they're far from those of previous years. To make matters worse, he's clashed with other Devils blue liners. This move has clearly been one that did not work for either the team or the individual. I copied this from a Bleacher Report written by Liz Brownstein. I'd have linked it but it really isn't an article, just a slideshow. She mentions one player form each team that she thinks would benefit from a change of scenery. I've no idea if she's credible or not, I just found it interesting. What would you think of trying to get Tallinder back? Would he be worthwhile, and who do you think Jersey would want for him? Would his return help Myers? And what do you think she means saying that he has "clashed" with other Devils blueliners?

No thank you. Tallinder looked good in 2009-2010 with the presence of Myers. Before that, he formed one of the worst Sabres defensive pairings ever with Lydman. He has reverted back to his old self, a defenseman unable to clear the zone and help his goaltender, Martin Brodeur, who expects better. |

Pass. I liked him. But it is time to move on. Of the two Hank and Toni. Lydman is the only one I wanted to keep. |

not if he paid the sabres his salary for the duration of the contract. sure he was a steady shoulder for myers to drag around the ice. Other teams have tape on Myers now and are playing him differently and myers just needs to realize how to beat that. He's no longer that rookie surprise. |
